Just formatted my harddisk and put a fresh install of XP on there. Problem is the time between memory test and hardware check to boot up is really slow (30 seconds). Not only that but WinXP won't boot from the harddisk (I have the message DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER. After inserting the WinXP disk and pressing Enter, Windows fires up without any problems including the firewall and antivirus software that I have installed.
I have tried changing the device boot up priorities in the BIOS but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?
