I didn't really read through it since I had no intrest in buying it. I only enjoyed the pictures and thought I would share.

How is a Civic not made to be an economy car? If I had to travel around the city I would get one in a heart beat. They get awesome mileage. Plus how can a performance car only have 120hp and a hybrid option?

Why do you think the tuning market seems to revolve around them? They are a great package only lacking the kick in the pants a real performance car has. Noone is saying that the civic is performance car, but that it handles quite good.

I like this cavalier, but I think I would rather have a sleeper focus with a 4.6 rwd conversion in it.

I don't understand how my statement is pointless. It may or may not be wrong, but it most certainly has a point. Every report I have read about the civic has stated that it is a sharp, good feeling handler. Sharpness doesn't mean that it'll pull more than .9g on a skidpad, but it certainly helps and signifies a certain quality put into the suspension. I'm sure that a civic will handle favorably against a camaro or a last generation mustang (note I am American, not a "Biased foriegner").

I'll try and find some evidence to substantiate.

So the old Civic's double-wishbone suspension that Honda bragged was straight from its F1 car is gone, replaced by MacPherson struts up front (``The same as the Neon,'' whimpered one Honda guy) and a multilink rear.

This is why I asked which year civic we were talking about.

The Civic is not designed as an economy car, that's what the Honda Beat is. The Civic is a lower-class performance vehicle. Look at the Civic Type-R, it's simple enough to be elementary. Why can't you understand that?

First of all, I was never arguing with you, therefore my statement has no relevance to ANY of your posts. Figure that out.

Second of all, BlazinXtreme, its TOYO-Matt, not TOYOTA-Matt. Get it right.

Oh and in case you were wondering, my heritage is that of 50% Norweigan, 25% German, and 25% Swedish. I was born in South Carolina, and now live in Wisconsin. (It sucks here, I know.) So I'm not just some asian kid praising my own country's vehicles.

Anyways--I agree that the Civic is an excellent handler and a peppy performer--I drive one, for christ's sake, and it is the 2nd Civic that I have owned. (I would never compare my Civic to a Camaro or Mustang, though. Let the S2000 fight those battles.)

I only said that the Cavalier can be made to be an excellent performer as well--on par with any Civic. Perhaps not as cheaply, but what is wrong with doing something different?
