Yay or nay? another tv decider

OKay I have this 32"phillips

And It doesnt do 1080p.
My friends monitor that he leaves at my house thats a 24" does 1080p
I can see how much smoother it is. I dont know if I should go with this: Vizio

Is the 1080p that I can see worth-it or will I notice the 10,000:1 VS 6,000:1 contrast difference???

I sit about 5 feet away from the t.v.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Vizio. I currently have 2 (32" 720 LCD and 50" 1080 plasma) in my house and have influenced 3 family members to buy one as well. I say if you can afford 1080, do it. If price is more of an issue, 720 on a screen that size would be fine.
