Yeah! Stuffed that 3000GT without cheating

Hi there

I'm talking about Beginner Race of Turbo Sports on Special Stage Route 11. I was always coming second by about 4 seconds by the end of the race. I had been getting in front then trying to block, but the 3000GT always found a way through then just edge away :mad:. Why? I was using an Evo VII GSR and just couldn't get the tight corners. On braking the car wouldn't steer - a bit of a problem :eek:.

Solution. 1. Buy Sports brakes 2. Buy Brake Balance Controller 3. Set Brake balance controller to 6 front 10 read (default is 8-8).

Now I was actually pointing in the right direction for corners (plus I could brake later. Result? I won without the need to block once.

At last. I thought that 3000GT was going to annoy me for days! :D

but there is nothing like coming into the last corner, sum1 bumps ya tail and next thing you know you have finished the race last!!
happened to me a few times :D
really fun stuff cause i do the race again and specifically target the car that did it to me and run em off the road :D

nothin like a bit of race rage!
 
I remember when I had a bit of trouble with that race. I was trying to spend as little money as possible, so I was using an RX-7 Infini III that I won from the 80's cup. Talk about oversteer....
