This works only if your using the wheel, use the D-Pad or whatever that + control thing on the wheel is called. Press Left/Right or Back, and you will see the screen change to where you want to see while racing, I believe this only works when you are driving with the guages view. 👍

I posted this before, but it never got validated.

Cool. I recently found out that if you press R1+up, the ghost car goes away! I also had a laugh when I bashed my DS2 against the floor in anger, and my PS2 suddenly thought it was a steering wheel! It came up with a steering wheel icon in the replay LOL. Seems to still work OK.

Edit: Bashing your DS2 against the floor will not *actually* turn it into a steering wheel. F310B and his affiliated corporations do not accept responsibility for any of your DS2 damage due to bashing it against the floor.

There is a button combination to turn the wheel display on and off, but I can't remember it off hand.

can look left/right only with steering wheels, you cant do it with the dual shock

Actually, UP is all you have to press (at least on the DS2).

Afaik it's pressing Select when having paused the game. How he got it to change by just smashing it to the floor I guess we'll never know for sure... :p
Unless... F310B, was the game paused when you did this? I suppose the Select button sensors could have been affected by the g-forces of being thrown to the floor or some.

I did not know this! I used to read the manual all the time and stopped a few years back when game publishers started making them more like flyers than anything useful ... looks like I missed something here, though!

I've got big hands and this 'feature' cost me to lose track of what I was doing on some of the license tests. I don't have any use for it whatsoever, and I don't think that you can turn it off.

The main changes that if made to the configuration of my wheel buttons is assigning Gas to -Shift (comes in handy on long straights for a guy with poor circulation), and Reverse to +Shift (beats having to find the triangle button when the wheel happens to be crossed up).

You can still use the paddles behind the wheel for manual shifting, and I never used the Shift Knob for anything at all.

Even if it is last weeks news, half of the people don't even know about this.
