Attention gt fans, do not, I repeat DO NOT underestimate the power and difficulty of the Test Course, because it is actually the hardest to win! You actually need skills, quick thinking and strategy, especially to catch the exact time to make the drift, and bang win the race.

I say this because just a couple of minutes ago I won the Test Course race of the closing Amateur League race, the one that you race against the Rx7, Altezza, S2000 and the underestimated FTO, all of them LMS, by a matter of tenths of seconds. I was trailing behind the FTO for 90% of the whole race! 5 laps of constant passes and drifts. Fortunately, on the last curve, I manage to increase 5 more mphs and bam!, won by half a body!

Tribute to the FTO LM, this car had me on pressure for the 5 laps. Not even the almighty rx-7 could catch us!, We were three on the lead, my Clk-Touring, FTO LM and the ZII.

The test course is indeed one of the hardest tracks to win, especially if you were using a car with the hp on the same range of the AI.

I am just glad I won though, by 0.0xx!

Yes, it is. I'm just not that interested in oval track racing.

My best race there was the All-Japan GT Pro. You think that was fun for 5 laps? Try 15! I won a 30-minute race in the last hundred yards, by less than 0.2 seconds. Critical timing indeed.

I donot think it is difficult to race there, the finishes are just close. Because you dont have the chance to win through driving skill, it is all based on draft timing. I donot believe you were trying for 5 laps to catch up, were you? Or were you neck and neck with him trading positions.

The test track IMO is a waste. A 15 or 20 lap race there is a joke. It is just like neon stated, basically a hundred yard race. The rest is just 19 9/10ths laps of a hurting finger. Whoever isnt dumb, and can wait to draft at the last second will win.

Yes, I was trailing behind a car, in this case the Green Castrol Mistubishi FTO-LM, we were basically neck to neck, with the ZII behind us, but by a tailight. In the replay, the whole race, the complete 5 laps, we are passing the leads between the three of us.

On one lap, I can see myself drafting and getting an extra 5 mphs, then on the other, I do the same but dont get to catch up the FTO-LM, then on one, I am so worried about the FTO that the ZII passes between us and gets the lead.

Man, I just completed the whole 7 races, and on the last one Grand Valley, both the FTO and ZII went the whole 7 laps without pitting! I deliberately had to pit, or my Clk was not going to last, I did at lap 5, then by the last lap, I regained my lead, and won by 2 seconds ahead of the FTO. Man these two cars are the devil

Are you talking about the All-Japan GT Championship? It's not that hard; you just have to scrounge up 1,000,000 credits and buy an Escudo. It never loses in Test Course or Super Speedway.:D

There is no test course on the Amateur All-Japan Gt championship, but on the Dream Car Championship.

And, I wouldnt want to use a Escudo for just one race, besides, it would be boring.

I love the Escudo for Test Course and Super Speedway races as long as they're short. I enjoy laughing at the AI's futile attempt to keep up.

I agree, the test course is very difficult with no mods as you did that is exactly how i play the game. Using the least amount of mods to win the race with clean and skillful driving.
Keep up the good work, makes it much more enjoyable. I guess what i am looking for is tough competition in this game, something to make my blood boil...lol:cool:

just 2 days ago i did the pro gt world championship to get a GT40 so i could compete online, and i used one of my F1's to get it over with (seeing as i already had it completed and i wanted the car right away) anyway i creamed all the competition on every track....but when the test course came, the 787B made my blood boil for 10 laps straight! we traded spots about 25 times throuout the 10 (or 15) lap race, can't remember! but anyway he came up on the inside of me on the end of the last lap and took the lead (big mistake) and in just enough time i drafted him and got up beside em, only to win by 0'00.021 seconds! on the replay i paused it as we crossed, and i was probobly only a wheel's length ahead of him as we crossed! sometimes i hate that track, sometimes i love it:D

i belive those races are boring and refuse to do them in a champonship
heres one, The Pink vitz around the test course...

I hope you're all kidding. No one's ever come close to catching me on that course. But I hear it's hard to drift on that course, so I wouldn't know seeing as I'm not a drifter. Just put your gears as wide as they go and raise your car up and you're basically set.

I think my closest race was the Stars And Stripes competition, where I won by 0.022 of a second, drafting and being drafted by the C5R in my C5R.

indeed...as with any race it can be won easily if you have bundles of power, even with a crap setup you can win
for a challenge tried an Acura NSX in the amatuer world championship and won the first few races but didnt come close in the last few, but still won (not by a lot though:D) the champ.

My closest finish at Test Course in Sim mode was 0.056.:D This took place in the Amateur Turbo cup in my Lancer Evo 6 and the AI had a Nissan Silvia Spec R Aero.;)
