So until early this year me and wifey didn't know about the Nissan Note Nismo. We knew about the normal/nana-spec Notes but never NOTEiced or took NOTE of them because they look boring.
Fast forward to us considering a new car this year because the daily driver Hilux and '92 R32 Skyline (both wifeys) were starting to cost too much in fuel, and the Skyline has not long hit 250,000 km's on the odometer and is in need of decent maintenance (fuel leaking from filler pipe when full, headlights keep having issues due to a common dodgy switch on the dashboard, oil leaking from rocker covers cos the gaskets are buggered etc etc - but being a daily we haven't had time to fix anything big given we do a lot of maintenance ourselves).
Also wifey is looking for a new job and some positions she's been looking at may involve leaving the Skyline overnight in quiet industrial areas which runs the risk of it not being there in the morning...
So yeah, we started looking around online and in car yards then saw/discovered this nana car on steroids, the 2015-2020 shape Nissan Note Nismo.
Maybe there just haven't been many here until recently, but either way it really grabbed our attention and a few months later i now own one, a 2017 model year.
Mine has Autech parts too, but not sure how many other than the centre console/armrest between the seats.

Lots of bodywork changes from the standard Note.
Nice rear spoiler, diffuser etc.
Nismo bucket seats (the Nismo S can come with thinner recaro type seats).
Its a real beast of a car too, kept pace with a Porsche turbo around a twisty hill the other day with ease (spirited driving by him and me, but if he wanted to he could of course have left me behind).
It corners really flat, pushes you back in the seat in sport power mode and is a nicely tuned sporty/firm ride on the road over bumps etc.
We're both wondering if its actually faster than wifeys Skyline, including around corners (her Skyline is a GTS manual coupe, 155hp factory), as it certainly feels like it.
The Note has a 3cyl petrol engine which only powers the electric motor. That and regenerative braking is how the car can drive solely on electric power.
I know that this may not fit the topic too well, but we'd genuinely not noticed or seen any of these around town until we started looking at a new car, and we're both proper car enthusiasts - there's still not a lot around, but we've seen a few Nismos and a lot more nana spec versions since.
