I assume this thread is due to some members swapping illegal info?

No... I believe it's in response to a member possibly attempting to spread a virus in "disguise" of pictures of his new car.

Yep.

I figure he's going to get bent and return, in which case we ban him as soon as he's recognized.

A member posted up a thread about "Got my car!! Here's pictures!" and it was a direct link to a virus.

He was banned because of it. No warnings, no PM notes about, simply done.

I felt the need to post this thread simplay as a warning, becase I know somebody is going to ask about it, or he was going to try and return.

I would have done the same, thanks to all of the hardworking moderators, I still have a job....( would have been fired for sure, getting a virus from a forum )

One right here !! I would have clicked even if it was a .exe file. What is .exe anyway ??

It is an executable, something that will run a program. All files have postfixes to describe them i.e. .bmp is a bitmap, .mpeg is a movie something or other. Exe files can run anything from Microsoft Word to a malicious script. Always beware of .exe files on the internet unless they are from a trusted source.
