Most websites I go to usually don't support my resolution as I would like them to. Having 2 inches or more of free space (as shown in the above screenshot) isn't great to look at all the time. I usually don't open new windows,just new tabs. In my opinion,making resolution "standards" 800x600 or lower is ridiculous. Only a few people I know run these small resolutions and I can't STAND them. 1024x768 is somewhat outdated considering many computer users (mainly gamers and people with high-end computers) use 1280x960 or 1280x1024. If only every website had an option to adjust the resolution standard,but that of course would take bandwidth,something many people don't like to let others use :indiff: .
 
1024x768 with just the menu-bar, the status bar, and the toolbar in my firefox. Hey, I have to appease my father's eyes.
 
1024x768 is what I run, and most laptops. (I've got a 14.1 screen). I think if you set a website for 1280x968, you're cutting out about 60% of computer users.
 
I use 1400*1050 and occasionally 1600*1200. I hate things that are cluttered into a small space so this opens it up a little more.
