The angles you are using are good. You've got a great start!
The car, however, could be less centered. If you have some environment in the shot, it could make a world of difference. Try zooming out a bit more (or move farther away) and pan a little to the side. It's all about expirimentation.

The second shot has a good angle, do some of what I said above, and also lower the shutter speed. It appears to be at it's highest setting. If you lower it to 1/60 or 1/125, it will add some motion to the shot and make it exciting. It could also help in getting rid of some of the patchy water. Be advised though; when you are zoomed in quite a bit, some of the motion is lost, and the picture seems slower. When you are zoomed out, it seems faster. Try experimenting with that to get different results.

Take a couple of my pictures for example:

This one is zoomed in quite a bit. Notice how it seems there is very little motion in the shot. The road doesn't have much motion blur.

Now look at this shot:

In this shot, I was pretty close to the car, and then zoomed out a ways. Now when you look at the ground, there is a significant amount of motion blur.

Also, notice how neither of the pictures have the car completely centered. This adds a bit of dynamics to the photo and makes it interesting. I have also edited my photos a bit, but I would wait to do any post-editing until you are comfortable taking pictures.

There are also some expansive tutorials over the basics and advanced techniques with Photomode in the forums. Check them out. They are very helpful.

Hope this helps! 👍

Awesome, I really do appreciate the advice. Sorry for not replying sooner, I'm out of town visiting family.

Thanks again

Happy Holidays!

Great work!
But for the first one, you should avoid showing the smoke behind the car, it pixelates the car D: try experimenting with the focus or just take the photo from the back of the car, so the smoke doesn't pixelate (does that word even exist...?) the car. Also, try to move a bit far from the car, so you can show more of it (it's a beautifull car you have there!) and try to play with the focus and the filters to create some cool photos. I ain't any pro either but hey, two noobs do something, right? ;)

One more thing to note is panning mode. In the camera options, (press triangle) you can choose panning mode 1-3. Mode 1 follows a point on the car where you set the focus (press square). The rest of the picture will be blurry. Modes 2 and 3 follow the entire car leaving it in focus and only bluring the road.
