Your favorite curve

Not your favorite track now, favorite curve, or set of courves.

I was running thru some manufacturers races, Lotus....ewww, anyway, and I was on the Laguna Seca, and I just love the corkscrew, now I prefer to race Suzuki, bit I love the corkscrew.

Edit: And yes, I did a search...

i personally enjoy alot of differnt curves but the one that sticks out in my mind as of now is the last turn in souel central wide turn great for practacing drifting with any car even ff. the nurburgring is one big wonderful curve that is also one of my favorites... ill update if i remeber any more

I like some of the twists on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. My all time fav track but love the twists and turns better.

I love the corkscrew at Laguna leca and the two turns at the nurburgring that are very banked and aren't even made entirely of pavement. Don't have a clue what they're called. Also, the last turn at Tsukuba. But the turns I love the best are the cluster of turns at Citta D'Aria that go downhill in the very narrow section. The hairpin after the long strait is fun on that track too.

The turn right after the Mulsanne Straight and the Nurburgring as a whole are my favorites simply because not everybody can drive on them without screwing up.

Well, I would say Karrousel at the 'Ring, the ones right after the start/finish line in Cittá di Aria on reverse, and the curves at the High Speed Ring, and Test Course (just because you can make your car fly to the moon if you crash on it :D)

Ciao...

I would have to say these some of my favourites:

- last turn as Tsukuba
- 130R at Suzuka (the curve on the high speed straight)
- curve after Corkscrew at Laguna seca
- curve before Corkscrew at Laguna Seca
- last curve on Motorland
- the last 2 chicanes on Le Mans
- the 2nd "karussel" on Nordschleife (just before the curve where you enter the main straight)

My fave curves are:
-the steep downhill, turning right, after the tunnel, on El Capitan.
-Autumn Ring's 270 degree circle.
-New Yorks last, long curve.
-Costa di Amalfi's quick downhill {the start of going downhill}
-Lastly, Apricot Hill Raceway, the 2 curves before the small and last chicane

I like a lot of them, but probably my favorite combination is Turns 2, 3, and 3a at Sears Point. The first two doglegs (at the s/f line, and then as you bend left to start up the steep part of the hill, are actually numbered 1 and 1a).

So the series I'm talking about are the somewhat wide 90-degree right Turn 2 at the first crest, followed by the diving left Turn 3 and immediately after by the second half of the ess, the right-hand Turn 3a at the highest crest of the hill.

You can carry an amazing amount of speed through this whole combination if you nail the entry to 2. Plus, the AI is usually dog slow through here, so if you're crisp, you can pull off some heroic passes.

as in me....I can get all the way past the Karousell (Spelling)....but after that all hell breaks loose, Im all over the place and dam...arms hurt after a bit. Especially with the Mercedes CLK GTR....fast but not so good handling.

AS to my favorite curves? hmmm.... I would have to say the ones I have circled in blue below. I love the entire track, but for some reason I happen to enjoy these. And I have yet to do a mistake there. Although I can't say the same for the rest of the track as I think I have hit almost every wall there after those corners. :(, but still little by little I'm getting better...but those curves will always be my favorite!!!

I'm sorry to interrupt, and I probably shouldn't do this, but I feel like I need to say it anyway:

I am fed up to the back teeth with "Your favourite ... in GT4"-threads! 🤬

Yes, you did search, and you couldn't find another thread like this. Do you know why? Cause noone cares what others favourite corners are. Or can you give me one single reason what I am supposed to do with the information I get to read here? Of course, not everything has to serve a purpose, but then again, opening a thread just because you can is not a valid reason!
If you want to open a thread because you're new and it feels good - fine, go ahead. But for gods sake, make it a useful one.

I'm sorry, but I just had to vent a little about this. My apologies to everybody that has posted here, and especially to the thread starter. :indiff:

I have WAY too many favorite curves to list. Almost one per track. But my ABSOLUTE #1 Fav is the S turns at Autumn Ring. GAWD I love them so much.

#2 would be the S's about half way round the Nurb. The ones after the Parabolica.

There is sure alot of´em! The Spoon corner and the Esses at Suzuka, Nouvelle chicane, Tabac and Piscine at Monaco are wonderful in a high downforce car, also the last three turns at Fuji 2005. The corkscrew at laguna Seca, and section 1 at Sears point is a real treat too! And of course the allmighty Nürburgring!
I also like the final chicane and the last turn at Apricot Hill, Turn 1 and 2 at Midfield, the section between tunnel 2 and 3 at Deep Forest, turns 2-8 at Autumn ring, the final section at Tokyo, the entire Citta D´Aria, The S section at La Sarthe and ....phew! I could go on forever it seems!

The blue parts are my favourite sets of curves in the game.

I'd second that - especially the second set after Karrussell. Also SSR5 - the right-left sequence leading up to the hairpin right round to the final chicanes - painful when you get it wrong, amazingly satisfying when you get it right.

There's probably more but I'd rather go drive them!

I love these curves, too.

Other favorites, on the Ring, the quick triplet before the small 180 degree hairpin and the wide, flowing curves after the Karrussel.

On Midfield Reverse, the Heroic Slide into the tunnel after the main straight. That one is great fun to pull off cleanly (no off-track excursions, no bumper-grinding) and has won me one or two races in competitions.

The quick combinations before the first tunnel on Deep Forest, the very technical section between tunnels on Trial Mountain, the quick right-left-right that leads up to the main straight on SSR5 which the computer, stupidly, always slows down for, despite the fact that you can go straight through the first two.

The "Horseshoe" on Autumn Ring... fun going forward, even more fun in reverse.

Heck... I have so many favorites, it'd be hard to enumerate them all!!!

 The number of posts in here seems to say otherwise... maybe people aren't interested in what other people like, but we sure like talking about what we like. Peace, man!

""anyway, and I was on the Laguna Seca, and I just love the corkscrew, now I prefer to race Suzuki, bit I love the corkscrew.""

same here ,the Corkcrew !!! If no Corkcrew in Laguna Sega , It's will become the worse track in GT4

Hainpin in Suzuki was another of my favorite, very slow coner !

Hmmm...

20 replies to the question "What is your favorite curve?" and not one reply mentions a woman?

How disappointing. ;)

I had pics turned off a while ago and I didn't see this...

Those blue areas are the greatest parts of the Nurb... actually... the only parts that actually count.

I quite like the open chicane at midfield and the section of the ring between bergworks and the Karrusell, I believe its called kesselchen or something, anyway its the top red section on that map of the ring.

I'm in love with almost all of Deep Forest Reverse. Almost the entire thing flows so smoothly if you know how to do it right, and there's a MASSIVE bump in the track as you enter one of the tunnels that threatens to ruin your flow every time (by launching you into the air so that when you come down, your in a wall, nearly perpendicular to the track :)). Plus it's over rather fast, under a minute in the fastest of cars. When you're familiar with it, nothing beats taking a Minolta around there. I know it's favourite curve, but for me the whole thing is just one big flowing set of curves :)

Yes, as someone said earlier, it's not about what "everyone " likes, it's what "you' like.

I think someone mentioned the esses in Suzuka , I do love running through those with a pack of cars around me, very fun.

I like Deep Forest also, but forward. My favoriteparts are the esses after you come up the hill after the hairpin, going to the 1st tunnel, and then I like the last turn because in a fast car, you don't have to let up at all because a groove on the inside holds you glued to the track. Soo....manyy...g'sss...
