Tell me your feelings about rain drifting in GT5.

I think it's crazy. Last time I did that with a NSX Type-R on Eiger Nordwand, and I spent days to perfect it (I still crashed at a corner, though :p) Sometimes it feels like the car goes by itself rather than you controlling it, and you can either drive or spin, and no any other options.

Recently I tried again in a Golf VI R, and it's still the same. You can only go through a few corners, but then you'll crash. :grumpy:

(Search option used, but no similar threads come out)

I've never tried drifting in the rain. i've tried racing in the rain and i crashed in the first corner. i think drifting in the rain, you need to be really good at drifting to make it around the track. whenever I race in the rain, i really get nervous about turning because of the fact that the car might slip out beanth me and crash. drifting might be a different story however the fact that you'll have to stop sooner will throw you off.

Thirty some years ago we didn't call it drifting and it was usually something to avoid, that is if you were paying for your own $500+ set of tires! Rain or snow was a different story, that was fun. I recall going out in my 70 Dodge Challenger just after a snow storm, nobody else in sight. Until I got pulled over by a cop, I told him it wasn't us, but he just smirked and pointed behind the car. All you could see was my 12.5 inch marks weaving all over the road, I shut up and accepted the ticket without further protest :grumpy:

hahaha ^^^^

I've never done it in reality, but in GT5 it's soooooooooo fun. For those who have trouble with it, use a 4WD car. It's a good starting point using something that has all wheels helping you out (obviously). Don't use an underpowered 4WD car and not an overpowered one either. Use a Lancer or Impreza.
