What's your most played song?

Bit hard to tell unless you are using iTunes (where it keeps a count of how many times you've played a song), or use something like Audioscrobbler...

Currently mine is a two-way tie:-

Frank Zappa - Oh No/Orange County Lumber Truck (from 'Weasels Ripped My Flesh')

and

Jefferson Airplane - D.C.B.A. (from 'Surrealistic Pillow')

both on 25 plays each...

but, I just discovered this:- I've spent the most time listening to Neil Young - Cortez The Killer (from 'Zuma' ) - with 18 plays at 7:31 a time, I've spent over 135 minutes listening to that, whereas Frank Zappa's OCLT has only racked up 127 minutes :)

According to my Audioscrobbler my most played song is Snoop Dogg - Drop it Like its Hot @ 54 plays

:lol: I'll put it down to the fact it was summer time here and the song was in it's prime radiowave wise :D

2nd is Muse - Stockholm Syndrome at 49. My current favourite would probably be Slipknot - Pulse Of The Maggots :)
 
I have no idea which song I've played the most times. But I can guestimate that the most time I've spent listening to a song is Dream Theater - A Change of Seasons. I used to listen to it all the time, plus countless times when I've sat down to try and learn all the guitar parts in it. As much as I could with my six string anyway. :dunce: A little over 23 minutes every time, I think it's a safe bet.
 
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb has racked up the longest airtime on my computer, although I haven't played it in awhile now.
 
I think Tom Sawyer by Rush was my most played song on my old PC. I haven't listened to any song more than twice on my new PC; I use shuffle most of the time.

I havent been arsed to use Audioscrobbler since a reformat a few weeks ago. It used to be Leif Karate - Kids Alright on top of my list.
 
Leif Karate? Is that meant to be a take on Leif Garrett do you think? (as in 'I Was Made For Dancing' fame/notoriety?)

My audioscrobbler is pure nonsense... bears no resemblance to what I actually listen to at all for some odd reason... number one song is The Faces - Stay With Me (iTunes says 6 plays, audioscrobbler says I've played it 16 times :dunce: )

I have no Idea what Leif they're eventually reffering to. Never heard of Garrett. :)

I've noticed some flaws too with audioscrobbler. It seems many mp3's have audiotags that doesn't match up with AS and never gets registered at all. One of the main reasons why I gave it up. Pretty nifty plugin anyway.

Could it be that iTunes only counts wholly played songs while AS has it's 150 secs limit before submitting?
 
My Audioscrobbler says Babamars - Younger, but thats only because the song is split into 3 files so the actual most listened to song is Fall Out Boy - Tell That Mick He Just Made My List of Things to Do Today.

I don't currently have any way of judging my most popular track (nor do I really care to have one), so I'd guess at it being a Tupac track, not sure which one though.

This is according to Last.fm based on statistics taken between May 30 and now...
Of course, this doesn't take into account that I was going several weeks in between without realizing that the plugin didn't work... or the fact that I didn't listen to as much music on my computer then as I do now since I was waiting for a new computer and some speakers.

Needless to say, I might be a special exception to the rule with Last.fm - it's incredibly inaccurate for providing a good idea of what I listen to since I have a 17000 song playlist :p

If I had to make a more accurate guess, it would be the entire album Lateralus by Tool, I've listened to Dark Side Of The Moon, The Wall, and Pulse in their entireity on my mp3 player before most of my exams since last year, and I've listened to a LOT of dream theater over the past few weeks. Dredg has also gotten a lot of play time both on my computer and on my mp3 player lately.
