Before I ask the question, I'm I'm intentionally leaving out the Wii U and handhelds, and basically everything else, let me know if there are other big tickets you think should be included.

So many of us probably own a PS3, or use one to play GT5, some of us may also own a 360, or even only a 360.

What I want to know is, assuming you have the money and we're in a time when both the 720 and PS4 are available, which console will you buy and why.

I realise the option only allows for one answer, so think of it as either, which console you'd get first (if you plan on buying two or more), or that you can only pick one for some other reason.

EDIT: If the PS4 was out today, I think that's where I'd go, so long as it would stil play GT5 plus all my other PS3 games and GT6 were either released or soon to be released.

When I get enough money, I'd move onto the PC. I don't play a huge amount of exclusives, and I'd assume that the PC community is heaps better than 12-year-old quickscope wannabes on PS3 :irked:

I just bought a gaming beast of a PC for $3000, so I will have that one for a while. :sly:

My next purchase will probably be the PS4. Though time will show.
But I will use the PC 80% of the time anyway. :D

I'll maybe buy the PS VITA first, but I'll buy the PS4 around 2 years after the first release.

Most likely going to go from PS3 to PS4. I kinda feel the Wii U and handhelds should still be included in the poll though.

PS3 to nothing

PC to nothing

I stopped playing. Lost interest in gaming. Sold my PS3, GT5 copy some time ago.

Since my graphics card stopped working, I decided to stop playing games entirely. I don't miss it so far.

Curious, then what do you get out of this forum? Just a (fellow) car enthusiast?

My current gaming device is a PS2. When it dies I may replace it, or I may finally quit playing GT4 altogether.

Well, GTplanet is much more than a forum about games, so........ . :)

What do I get out of this forum?

Stress, frustration, pain in my lower back and neck and the joy of being insulted, sometimes. [/joke] :p

BTW, I left GTP for almost one year.

Where is the Wii U? My next gaming device will be the Wii U.

Well, I haven't really looked up the specs, so feel free to shoot me down, my understanding is that it isn't really a huge leap forward in technology, and I don't forsee it being a truely next gen player, it seems to be Nintendo's way of sort of, getting up to the PS3/360 (way too late). But I was a Nintendo player for ages, virtually all of their systems, SNES, N64, GC, even have a Wii, but the Wii is a huge dissapointment, its small and cheap, but I don't think there were really any titles on their that I loved, I was really hoping Smash Brothers would be actually good this time, but it seemed way too much like the previous game (which was horrible), nothing else really had me interested, so its PS4 for me.

Ok, I respect your opinion, but the wii U will be release next moth. And the ps4 and xbox 3 have not been announced yet.

I voted pc to pc because it's probably the next thing I'm gonna upgrade and I'm playing more and more on pc now that games are better on pc. I just bought a GTX670 so I'm kinda fine but I want to upgrade my case because it's not very practical and I've seen some cool one with usb 3 connector which I lack on my current tower. Also probably gonna buy a 5.1 headphone and a 2nd pad for pc.

I'll probably end up buying both Xbox720 and ps4 as always. No Wiiu or anything from Nintendo, it's not the type of gaming I'm looking for. Maybe a PSvita if there's a new GT for it, if it's just a ps3 port I wont bother.

I've recently given away my PS3 and don't plan on getting another console. What I am considering, however, is a cheap Android smart phone (numerous in China) for the sole purpose of playing hand-held games like Zenonia (cool RPG) and other such titles which cost next to nothing compared to console games.

I tried Zenonia it looks quite nice but I dont like the way you need to play. Would be nice with an analog stick.

Well I have my PC (as my documented thread in this section will show) but i'll definitely consider whether or not to get the next gen Xbox/PS3 for some of their exclusives.

I put PS3 to PS4 as this is the most obvious path for me. I would love to have a dedicated Sim rig, but that's a pipe dream. I will get a wiiu when Zelda comes along (self confessed Zelda nut) but other than that I will mainly play games on my iPhone or 3DS/PSP.

Thank god I'm not the only one who still plays his PS2 regularly. I still play it as much as my PS3 and other systems, if not more.

Probably a PS4, but when I'm older I'd like to get into PC gaming.

I never cared for PC gaming as I'm more accustomed to the feel of a PlayStation controller, as I gre up on one. That's why I have a tough time palying Xbox games. Having to play with a mouse and keyboard just feels weird and too complex for my tastes. I'll definitely get a PS4, just not sure when. Won't be at launch though, I'll tell you that.

My next gaming device is right here.

Console games make my yawn any more..... I do enjoy a good Lego session with my 3 1/2 year old, he's a bit of an addict, but beyond that, I'm pretty much done with console games.

You can use any controller you want to on PC. Same goes for Xbox and PS as well, but they require an adapter and sometimes running it through a PC.

As for my "next" gaming device... I am a PC gamer... all that requires is upgrading hardware. And I might pick up a next-gen Xbox for Halo and Forza.

If you think like that then the next xbox and PS4 will already be outdated when they release compared to PC's. So really the only next gen player is always a high end PC. I've had my PC for over 2 years now and I imagine when the new consoles release they won't compare to the 3-4 year old hardware in my PC. The poll just doesn't seem right without putting all the future consoles on it.

I am now very much a PC gamer so my next gaming device will probably be a keyboard... I'll probably get a PS4 when some unmissable exclusives come out (and the price is sensible), if GT6 is any good and is a PS3 game I may also buy a couple more PS3s to run it in triple display on my rig. That's more of a sidegrade than an upgrade though.

Well, I'll probably just keep using my second-hand 360 until Xbox Live is no longer supported for it, however many years down the road that is. It's too expensive to buy a new console and game library every few years. It's just not in the cards at this point. Although, speaking of cards, I use a real deck almost as much as my Xbox, and a deck is considerably cheaper to replace...

Next gaming device? I won't have a "next" one, my PC is almost ultrahigh-end already ;) If a second GTX 670 for SLI counts as a gaming device then I guess that, but if not then there is no 'next' for me!
