hiya ! :D

Why why why did I never bother to see this car :banghead:
Right when I thought cars such as Skyline, Cammaro SS, Supra, Viper etc. and ones you all would like to name :D , is all good. Then last night, I decided to try this Porshe looking car RUF RGT, just wanted to try it for fun.
I was shocked with its performance  *faints*
It can turn really good and it just performs well :D
Here is wut I can get out of it so far:

1/4 = 8.772 seconds
Top Speed ~199-201
Laguna Seca Raceway time = 1.13.873 -_- went on sand on the Zi Zag turn

Anyways, :D I would like to hear wut everyone else have to say about RUF RGT, welcome to post your settings too so I can improve my car :D thnxie :D

I think all of the RUF's are among the best road cars in the game. They outperform many other cars in their power class. I have used the RGT and the CTR-2 in many road-car or non-modified race series as a result.

I love the Ruf's! They handle great even with a ton of horsepower, unlike most cars in the game. The CTR 2 is my favorite Ruf in GT3.

Yes - Ruf is good. The RGT is probably the quickest road car (ignoring the R390 and TS020 road cars) in the game on a track.

RUF's cars are pretty good in this game. The RGT being my favorite, although the CTR and 3400S are good too. My CTR is out of tune though, so it handles a bit funny.

I love them all. Especially the CTR-2. The RUF's are great for the non-tune races because they out perform just about every road car in the game (short of the GT-1 road car and others alike). When they are fully tuned they can get going pretty damn fast. They are great rally cars, I used the CTR-2 for the faster pace rally races, its really hard to keep on the track because of its intense speed.. but hey... its rally..
The RUF's get a big thumbs up in my garage

I think the RUF RGT is the best handling 1000+hp car in the game than all the other cars with over 1000hp and the drifts that car can do are incredible. but what appeals to me would have to be the handling. You can't tell it has over 1000hp by the way it drives. It doesn't even feel like its going that fast because of the handling IMO

Well said. 👍

I feel the same way and did the same thing. (ctr2) :D

jep, I agree with y'all those RUF's are the best road cars in the game, I just love to drift a maxed out RGT & 3400S
also the acceleration of the RGT is incredible , where other 1000+ BHP cars like the supra or viper GTS get wheelspin , the RUF has traction....( I drive without driving aids)
but I wich there will be a Gemballa tuned porshe(s) in GT4

A 550 GT or so
:trouble:

The RUF RGT is no doubt a great car. It handle well, but i rather have my Skyline GT-R ;) JP Anyways the Ruf is a great car handle nice and amazingly fast. it get two thumbs up :D

I have a Yellow one with polished lip BBS gold wheels. Very well balanced car. I had it up there at 1099hp but I droped it down to right about 600hp to be more relistic with my other cars, say MKIV, R34, FD, GC8, GDB etc....

The 4WD RUF didn't handle so well for me, although it's very stable. Just not as responsive and it pushes while on throttle. VCD and suspension settings couldn't help me. Oh well.....RGT is my pick!

Great car this un 👍 Werner Winkles beat me to the punch, nothing is as much fun on the dirt as a fully tuned RGT
Not at all shabby on a road circuit either, have 2 of these monsters in the garge, 1 for dirt and the other as a bitumen beast

The ruf RGT is definitely one of the greatest cars in the game. I also like the Tommykaira ZZII. These are the two best road cars in the game, IMO (as Famine said, besides the road-going versions of the Toyota and the R390).

The ZZ-II is classed as a race car in GT3, thats why you can use it in the Formula GT cup and not the PD cup.

it's the most exciting car to drive in the game. it's challenging and rewarding. and regardless of how fast the wheels are spinning, the accelleration is blinding. probably my favorite car in the game as others come and go on my favorites list but i always go back to the RG-T.

This is one of the few cars I just can't seem to get the tuning right on. I'm not a big fan of Porsche anyways, but these cars are hella fast!

It's up there no doubt, but I haven't grown to like it... yet!

Why oh why in all my years of playing GT did I overlook the RGT until last night? :banghead:

I won one last night and rather than just selling it as I already had a CTR2 I took it for a blat around midfield. WOW! The handling is awesome. The only adjustments I made were to turn off ASM / TCS. Nothing else needed doing. So far I've tuned it to around 600bhp, and it's just so easy to drive!

IMO it's got to be a contender for best car in the game. :D

Yeah, it's my favorite street car in the game, bar none.

I have had more fun with the RGT than any other car in the game. My problem with it initially was that I didn't know about ASM/TCS and you are right, it does need to be adjusted off or it is icky to drive.

Personally, I feel that in a way, the rgt is one of my greatest dissappointments in the game.

Before you all freak out about that, please read on. :D

You see, the rgt as a street car is probably the fastest and most capable of the cars in the game.

However... the let down...
There is no Lm/race version of the rgt. This is a really big mistake in my book because the road version does not show the full capacity of the rgt's overall design.

If you look at each race car compared to the road counterpart, in most cases, the wheel track, the weight, and other demensions of the car do not match. Sometimes it's the weight of the car, sometimes it's the engine. (supra I6 vs Denso/castrol I4)

If the rgt was to be converted to a race car, there would be several changes in the cars overall performance.

Dimensions and tire values would change (resulting in major handling & grip advantages. i.e. supra road/castrol), Downforce would actually be there & adjustable. The engine could be changed. Although I'm sure it would always be the 6, it is possible that exhaust/tuning could result in different torque&hp numbers.

... Well...
Im gonna end this now. I want to make the point that the rgt is one of the best cars, and specifically, I feel that an NA tuned rgt is the best road car you can get. (in its class, etc.)

Later. btw, the porsche/ruf is the real king of gt racing.
