THE_MUTTS_NUTTS_
Hi there, I regularly host 570pp street car races online and don't allow race or rm cars to compete, however I seem to be hitting a grey area over tuner cars like the amuse s2000, nismo fairlady z tune ect, are these classed as rm or street cars, your opinions will be very helpful, thanks.

I don't see the point of filtering race cars and tuner cars with the point system since the downforce is factored into the point system. Filtering out race cars is only worthwhile in hp/weight rooms.

Think of it this way mekevans, if you can drive it on the street, and not have to see a Chiropractor afterward. Then its fair game IMO.

where I live you'll always need to see one some day, no matter what you drive.

This is a bit of contentious topic. A couple of weeks ago there was a huge thread about CT230R and whether it was a race or street tuner.

One way to err on the side of streets, is to exclude cars with front downforce. Street cars don't have adjustable front downforce, so if it has it, it's out the window. This lets in the likes of the Amuse S2000 Street R1 etc, but rules out the GT1, CT230R and some others.

You could always go with the Top Gear system.

If you allow areo parts on the street cars, you will have to allow the pre-build tuners.

I prefer to race my cars stock, so it's dissapointing when I race in a street car races and everyone has customized everything and giant wings, why not just allow race cars at this point? The PP system will keep thing fair-ish.

Then you'd also be excluding Ferrari's, Audi's, Lambo's.... among a lot of others I'm sure. Some street cars have front downforce - though not adjustable.

Tuners are street cars, end of story IMO.

Do you mean stock front downforce? Because you can throw front downforce on just about any car with aero parts. Not sure if they're adjustable or not though.

There not race moded amuse, spoon, opera performance, nismo, etc. Are companies that people go to to get there car tricked out or make there own version of the car,so they should be alowed of it has sponsor stickers than its a race car

Too bad Polyphony didn't assign each car to a group so we could easily set rules for the room.

PP might balance out race cars and street legal cars, but most people (self included) in "street" rooms want to race street vs street (or conversely RC vs RC,) even if it's just an aesthetic thing.

Now... what to do about that darned NSX...:dopey:

Well they are street legal cars although if everyone else is using a common street car such as a Honda Civic I won't bring a Nismo out or if someone else has one out i'll normally ask them to put it away.
