Your own ideas for racing games

If money and licensing were not a problem, what would be your idea for a new racing game?

Mine would Be "Amelia Island Concours Chaos," a game based around the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. Everyone at the event organizes a street racing showcase on the island and all the surrounding towns. Racing around in the most expensive cars in the world, the player wins races to get more money while trying to race as cleanly as possible so they don't diminish the value of their own car. It would be open world, so you could cruise around in your show car as well. The ultimate goal of the game is to get the largest, most expensive car collection.

(Wishful thinking starts here)
Each of the 175 playable cars would be flawlessly modeled, and a forzavista-like viewing mode would be there as well. You could add liveries and upgrade performance on the cars, but at the cost of diminishing their estimated auction value. The crash physics would be like Wreckfest. The island and surrounding areas would be 1:1 versions of their real-world counterparts, with every road, building, e.t.c. identical to real life.

Of course, it will never be made, not like that at least. If I ever were to make it, it would be a simple top-down 2D arcadey racer.

What are your ideas?

While playing Forza 7, with its somewhat wonky trackside animations, I started to wonder how a racing game might be able to simulate some of the bizarre freak accidents we've seen over the years - things like cars ending up in Monaco's harbour, drivers being struck by safety cars, safety cars crashing into competitors, cars hitting local wildlife, cars colliding with each other with one ending up parked on the roof of the other or poor aero setups resulting in a car backflipping off the track... Stuff like that. I'm obviously not saying every race should be plagued by these things but it could add an amusing aspect to the game, and of course because no one likes to be randomly removed from a race through no fault of their own it could have a Forza-style rewind mechanic so you could potentially dodge the accident after it happens.

Well, it is very simple but impossible and inconceivable with the current technology.

I introduce to you my fantasy of race games: The Star Trek Holodeck.

One car, all the important tracks of the world with real life physics is all its aspects, perfect VR implementation, the best motion simulator you can have (see Toyota clip below).
Everything that happens with a track during racing has to happen ingame. Real life weather conditions, day and night transition, tracks getting dry when driving during rain session, rubber getting deposited on the track surface, sand, leaves on track and all the things that happens in real life as well have to be in the race simulator. Wind as well of course.

A few months ago, on the Assetto Corsa forum, I made a thread called "I have a dream ....." where I explained that I'd like to see ingame hands moving in ACC when we are moving or hands and operate a fully working interactive cockpit.
I mean, when using VR and you move your hands, your hands are being tracked by the VR sensors. This would make it possible to to use an fully working interactive cockpit in every car in ACC. This was a terrible idea according ACC forum members.
But it seems that Kunos did something similar though. The hands in ACC are moving when you move your hands, so could it be that Lord Kunos decided to implement this idea I had, less complicated, in ACC?

I'd also love to have a truly true to life rallycross racing sim. Better than the pCars 2 version.

A Burnout game with licensed vehicles and future NASCAR games to include an expanding amount of classic cars and drivers. I feel like if a company like 2K Sports were to invest in creating a physics engine for older generations of car, they could make a NASCAR game that included it's version of the NBA2K MyTeam. It's a given that it would have microtransactions, but then it might create a good enough return on investment to allow for more content in future games.
I don't mind not being able to get the 99 overall pink diamond 1967 Richard Petty because it all but requires real money to obtain, I just want to be able to drive cars from that era.
