a quick explanation.
I used the term eurotrash because in my experience drivers of european cars are snobby bastards. (but I voted for them because they make SWEET CARS)
IMHO, 18in. wheels, Clear Corners, and a K&N Filter on an S2000 DOES in fact make you a rice boy. A rice boy with somewhat good taste in automobiles (S2000s rock) but a ricer nonetheless.
Supras and RX-7s are DEFINITELY ricemobiles. (did you see fast and the furious? You couldnt get any more stickers on those suckers) They are just expensive rice-rockets. The majority of riceboys cant afford an RX-7 or a Supra, or even your S2000. They all want to move up to these cars though.
Let me restate. I don't use "rice-boy" derogatively. The new generation of street rodders really have some talent in tuning and customizing cars, but they are made to look bad by the jokers that put "type-R" stickers on their Geo storm, and "turbo" badges on otherwise stock dodge neons. I don't call these guys ricers, I call them losers.
Looking good is one thing, going fast is another, but LOOKING FAST is insulting to everyboy around them. These retards have 6 exhaust pipes and 47 headlights that just make them look stupid. I have no problem with people wanting customized cars, but I think some basic rules of good taste should be applied.
1) Stickers are a no-no, ESPECIALLY those that refer to performance parts THAT YOU DONT HAVE
2) Spoilers should not exceed the height of the roof of the car, nor have a larger surface area than 1/2 the trunk lid (I swear I saw a 82 civic with a porsche whale tail 2 days ago)
3) Dont try to fake a different trim level than you have. (there are NO TYPE R HONDAS SOLD IN THE US)
4) Exhaust pipes should be no larger in diameter than can fit under your bumber without cutting it, or scraping the ground
5) The owner must have at LEAST a general understanding of what his stickers are saying. (hint: there are NO CARS that are "powered by ACURA" anywhere")
