PSN outage has gone much further than anyone anticipated so we'd better start thinking what to do,trade-wise,the moment it comes back.The way I see it there are these options in the poll,if you have anymore ideas you're welcome to share them with us I'm really looking forward to your opinions!

I will be moving all my trades back a day and PM'ing everyone to notify them about this, then I will continue the trade like normal unless they back out or have other plans.

Clear them and start a new schedule. With exceptions with car already delivered early.

I voted ''wipe the slate clean'' option, except if you already owe someone.

Probably the only way to avoid confusion that might cause heads to explode.

that's my situation for sure and that is exactly how I was thinking of handling it.... seems a lot easier than try to move 40 some trades 2 or 3 days.... but if everyone handles their situation differently we could end up with a mess anyways..... would be nice to have a general consensus....

Yes could cause lot of problems.
So I def think this outta be the best choice for the majority.

I voted this, everyones in the same boat, so I don't think PMing each individual is necessary. But for the guys that book more than a week at a time i understand it's more complicated then just this.
So far its been 2 lost days for me. I'm not going to worry until a week passes.

I saw in Q&A section someone proposing for PD to temporally lift the limits, in order for us to catch up. Now you have to be pretty naive to think Sony is going to specially cater to us GT5 fans. But that is a damn good idea.

Learn a lesson and only book 5 days in advance anybody who is daft enough to arrange trades 50 days in advance needs to get a life. How many people are you going to annoy if you get run over by a bus tomorrow and who will know ?

Pretty much this, i've got about 8 or 9 trades agreed for cars and fully intend to keep them in the order i had them in depending on if the others still want to trade, i can't see the point and don't want to cancel trades i have previously agreed with people just moving the dates should suffice

I decide my own trades, and post and ask my fellow trader whom I was going to trade with. since Im not liking trading for this game really anymore, I have PMed my fellow trades (2) and will follow my own scheme, like it was, but then when PSN is up again!

Well no not really, if the other parties agree the new dates it should be no issue at all and until MY trade schedule is clear again i'll be agreeing no more trades, thats just the way i feel it will work best for me if people i'm trading with agree or not is another matter

How many trade,s have you,months or years?

OK you had a trade which was for the day the outage happened.
You reschedule for the day it comes back on, all other trades will then move one day from the day PSN returns.

EXAMPLE PSN down for outage reason.

Day 1 send to tom Day 1 receive from tom
Day 2 send to Dick Day 1 receive from Dick
Day 3 send to harry Day 1 receive from Harry
And so on. now if one of them has the item then its no trade move on to next person. if they don,t want to trade move to next person in your list.
Its just date,s your changing not trade,s.

Let me explain it another way you send me a car on 25th December I,ll send you one back. sorry PSN is down.
OK reschedule for the next day or keep rescheduling till its back up and running? Just move the date one day simple really?
All other trades you have for the date,s after our trade move forward one day?

This means that before any scheduled trades could continue as intended, this person would need to honour the cars owed. Then suppose another person on your schedule owed two people cars, then another person on your schedule owed seven cars, etc....

I plan on honouring my owed trades and then letting the dust settle a bit.
I would hate to continue with my schedule as planned only to find there is another two day outage because the maintenance brought about another unexpected issue. The people I had scheduled to trade with will get preference before i'd start any new trades, but I will be getting my house in order for at least a week before continuing with trading.

Yes that,s great mate and glad your so busy with trade,s?
But the point being you have list in front of you like everyone else. And on it It,ll say something like send car to XXXXX on the 20th of April 2011 impossible if you could not sign in because of network outage?

So you just reschedule your date to send on the day you can sign in.(when outage allows)
If some one/or many has sent you 100 hundred cars you can only send one car per day so your schedule for sending would not of changed?
Only the date of when you were going to send a car to the first person on your list?
So the person you would of been sending too would also not of be able to sign in also, so they would receive the gift when they sign in and when you have signed in.
So basically all am saying is no matter how many cars you have coming from people your schedule for sending could not possibly of changed apart from the date of when you should of sent on the 20th which may now be the 1st of may when we can sign in again or what ever day the outage allows us.

Now if you have people turning round and saying sorry but PSN is back up and running and this is day we should of exchanged gifts then am sure that person would or should let you honor your gift agreements by the time scale of when they were setup, First in list not by date has they know every one has been hit by the outage and not been able to sign in.
Feel sorry for anyone who gets a little pip squeak who says no sorry we had a arrangement for so and so date then I would explain and if they don,t like it I would not deal with them or ask them to come back at a later date.
So for the sake of it,if you get to sign in on the 30th do you keep all your trade,s from that date and just stuff the one,s before the 30th.

Me personally with a little common sense from yourself or both parties, people should be able to work things out. If not then tough, come back when I have more time?
