This is basically a thread on your worst experiences at the dentist. I would have thought it had been done before, but my searches found nothing.

My worst experience was today. I have braces and today was supposed to be my last but one appointment before I have my braces removed. But theer was some important work that needed to be done. Namely, some 'twisting fibres' needed to be cut. These fibres might twist my teeth once my braces are removed so they needed to be cut.
I had to be given 3 syringes of local anaesthetic before they could begin, and then they started nicking away at my gums and such. I didn't feel a thing, but that didn't stop me gripping the chair rather tight.
So that was it really, about the only good thing about it all was the amount of up market cars I saw.

So lets see what you guys have to say...

The day I got braces. That was horrible. They put on, the messed a thing up, so the cement they put on had to be removed. They removed it. my hands were destorying to chair with pain. So then the put it back in, and continued on and then it tasted all bad...

The cool thing about braces are is you get them Rubber band things. You can shoot them off.. its freaking cool.

They assigned me to a retainer 2 years ago, I had it on for a week and said **** it and never wore it again.

Mine started Christmas day and ended at the begining of January.

I had my wisdom teeth removed. First off, I hate going under general anestesia, as I told the doctor "I hate being forced into unconscienceness", he just laughed and said don't worry and jammed the needle into my arm. I got this metallic taste in my mouth and a sort of wierd feeling(hard to explain but) and then was out. I woke up in a daze not knowing where I was, what time it was, anything. I was also for some reason moving my head around. I didn't feel any pain though, which was ok.
We get home and I go to bed. I slept for a few hours then woke up in a sort of weak state, I was in pain and upset and my mom said that I had to take penecillan and a vicodin type medicine. Well, I can't swallow pills worth a damn so I had her chop em up and she put them in water. I took the water with blood dripping from my mouth and started to drink it and cry at the same time because it tasted horrible. I believe I threw up and then felt surprisingly better. I didn't eat anything for the rest of the day, just stayed in bed. I had to change the gause several times which isn't fun since I gag easily. My cheeks were swollen and my mouth hurt pretty bad. Once I started eating again I found it much better to crush the pills and put them in Barq's Root-Beer since Barq's has such a bite that I didn't taste the meds so much. Eating anything hurt, but Mac and Cheese(Not Easy Mac, I make the actual Kraft that comes in a box and everything, I am the only one that can make it because it only tastes good my way since I don't like it so soupy)hurt the least. That and pudding and I was set. I spent the rest of my winter break recovering and my left cheek was swollen for a bit afterwards. Once my stitches were removed I was good to go, and while I doubted the need to have those teeth removed while I was in pain it came out good.

they were going to give me fillings....but they put them into the wrong damn tooth. It caused major swelling in my mouth. It hurt like stink and to make it worse, my gums in that area itched like a b!tch. THEN the bastiges had the nerve to make me wait 2 weeks before they could arrange for another appointment so they could pull that tooth out and fill the proper tooth. Pulling the tooth made it impossible for me to eat for yet another day :irked:

In another bad experience, I had a tooth filled...in Pakistan...while I was fasting (it was Ramadan). That meant I was in an extremely unhygenic office ready to have a tooth drilled into by a very hairy, nasty looking dentist who wasn't going to give me any local anesthetics because that would have broken my fast. Believe me, it was NOT a pleasant feeling... At least the dude wore gloves while he did his work

For me it was the day, when the dentist had to remove a tooth somewhere in my mouth. And since the four or five shots of local anaesthetic didn't do anything I suffered like a bull in bull fighting.
They had to cut the ONE tooth in eight pieces before they could remove it. Since then I have a real dentist phobia. I never understood the logic of dentists though.

My teeth are white and like in perfect shape, I brush them everyday twice, I don't eat or drink much unhealthy stuff but still dentists keep on saying they have to drill holes in my mouth and filling them up and bla.
I hate dentists and they all deserve to die and burn in hell.

just a suggestion - don't use that colgate night white crap. I bought it and after 3 days, I tossed the bottle out. My gumline had receded a LOT from the **** and now at random occasions I get random pangs of pain on this one tooth where it feels like I'm being hit in the face with a sledge hammer. To make matters worse, my teeth are now very sensitive to hot and cold :irked:...

I need to schedule an appointment with the dentist

Think about the money they make. 🤬 I need that money.

The power in them little things :sly:

Anotehr one of my bad time was when they had to remove 3 perfectley good molars/semi-molars so I could have my braces. I must have had 5 shots of local anaestheic. The first two came out in 7 pieces after the dentist had to cut them up. The third only came out a week after, as the dentist had spent so much time doing teh first two he ran out of time. Luckily I was prepared for that thrid one.

Well ive had two teeth removed but that was painless. The worst ever was a root canal last year. Man the whole process took like 2 months. And while getting it on of the nurse that was suposed to be sucking the **** out of my mouth forgot and i started choking so the had to stop so i could spit and begin again.

My worst dental experience has to be I haven't been to a dentist in over twenty years. No joke.

My only rant on dentist is when they randomly floss the **** out of your gums and slice them all up so they all swollen and sore the next 2 days.

Oh and BTW, I don't need braces b!tches!:dopey:👍

my worst one was when they had to pull a tooth of mine out by the roots. I had to get, like, six shots of novacaine before I couldn't feel it anymore. According to my mom, the tooth went flying across the room when it gave up. That was the worst experience I ever had, but I got the Lego Tanker truck from the deal so I was happy.

I had gotten fillings on my birthday this year.

The Doc decided to use some anaesthetic, even though my cavities were small.

Problem was he injected the anaesthetic in the wrong side of my mouth. So, not only did I have five fillings done without anaesthetic (didn't hurt anyway), half of my face was numb for a good four or five hours...

On my birthday....

Having your face go numb is the only fun part about going to the dentist. It's fun to say, "Pork chops, and apple sauce," when your face is numb.

my worst expirence(sp? sorry im on vacation) was when i was getting my teeth cleaned. and while they were cleaning it they kept rubbing my gums with the tool. and my gums hurt like heck! they were exrtra sensitive.

I've never had any real bad experiences at the dentist. I guess the worst would be the time I had a tooth removed, they gave me a shot of novacaine in the right jaw, then put a mask on my nose pumping out cherry scented nitrous oxide, and they got side-tracked with another patient, and I was sitting there for close to 45 minutes just breathing that **** in. It didn't help that for the first 10 minutes I was sucking in through my nose as hard as possible trying to inhale as much nitrous oxide as I could just to see what would happen. This was back when I was 16, and had the S2000. The ladies at the dentist knew they screwed up by leaving me hooked up for so long, and called my Dad up to the office before I was even out so he could keep an eye on me until I was okay to drive. Assholes.

when i was in grade 5 i got braces.... the had to take 4 TEETH OUT!! one shot of anaesthetic, and i sat there while the guy yanked like hell at the tooth with pincer things until they came out....there was more blood in the dentist room than a blood bank lol
