OK, guys. Need a bit of help here.
The situation is this:

When I go onto youtube, this happens. I've tried it on IE, Firefox, and shown here, Chrome. Each three times JavaScript is on, and my Flash player is up-to-date. Is this Youtube's problem, or my computers?

Thanks in Advance,
VIsta

I had exactly that happen to me in all my browsers yesterday - FF, IE, Chrome, Safari - I "updated" Flash Player in FF to the latest version (which was the version I was already using...), which corrected FF.

Until a reboot, at least - now I see exactly what you do, once again.... you wouldn't happen to be with Telecom for your internet, would you?

FWIW, I get a ton of "yt is undefined" page errors in all four browsers, and I bet you do too.

yup, i've got Telecom... so would it be just NZ Telecom users?

And i dont have any "yt is undefined"... what's FWIW mean?
All other video websites i know are fine, it's just youtube. So should i go to Telecom, or Youtube NZ?

For What It's Worth.

I originally thought it was a NZ Telecom issue, but Youtube works fine on my desktop  (and my iPod)

Not really updated, I simply reinstalled the version of Flash Player for Firefox that I already had. I highly doubt that is the issue though (even though it (temporarily) fixed YT in FF), because of the following:

  • Everything else Flash-y worked fine in my browsers, Youtube was the only Flash-based site that wasn't.
  • If Flash Player for Firefox *somehow* blew up, it wouldn't make Youtube die in IE, Chrome or Safari.
  • I went to http://www.youtube.com/swf_test.html and got the following:
    Code:
    Navigator version:10 : Shockwave Flash 10.0 r42
    Returned version:10
SWF Detect Flash version is: WIN 10,0,42,34
  • Youtube broke in Firefox again once I rebooted, even after "updating" Flash Player.
Why it works fine on my desktop (FF 3.0 I think; *may* be FF2) but not on my laptop is beyond me, however.
