Hi I'm defo a novice but was practicing around trial mountain today in the zonda tried with skid recovery and couldn't control it all. Was using pad with shoulder buttons but as soon as I try to accelerate out of a corner the back end comes round and says hello! Any tips? Also had TC on 2 and abs 1 everything else off.

Try putting TC up to 5 and be gentle with the throttle i suppose, I'm guessing the zonda in question is the zonda R from the dealership which is a tail happy car anyway, amazing fun when hooked up though!

make sure your heading in a strait line before you hit the power, also accelerate gradually. dont just slam the power on.

Zonda R is a fiery beast when you drive it with the only aid at ABS 1 or no aids at all. You're not going to get the maximum out of the car without learning how it behaves, and to do that you have to get a track and cruise around it and then gradually get quicker. Try not to steer when applying more than 50% throttle when turning a fair amount too.

Be VERY, no VERRYYY gentle with the right foot when coming out of the corners. Only give full throttle when going straight and try to gradually push the 'pedal' down.

I did the grand valley endurance race last night just to get a little used to the car. It took quite some laps to get used to car, and even after the full 60 laps I couldn't push it hard around the track yet.

It's a very difficult car to drive, but if you can control it it is very satisfying :)

We have a race with all Zonda R's around trial mountain in a month so I'm practising ahead of it but I'm guessing the other drivers that have skid rec on and high abs will have a huge advantage right?

Think it's one of those cars already fitted with an LSD, if not buy one and try to set it up properly, worked for me.
I only drive it without aids (aside from ABS at 1) although I do use racing tyres since it's basically a racing car and I decided to fully tune it (twice, got another one as well) and it's still twitchy and nervous but controllable with the DS3 I use.
But when it's gone it's gone....

Driving this car is difficult with a DS3, since you can't control the speed of the car as easily as using foot pedals. So when I do drive this car, I use a slight bit of TC and don't go too fast.

I don´t have one yet but I think its compareable with a fully tuned Mclaren F1 or a Ferrari Enzo (power wise).
Both are oversteering beasts out of corners
=> I tried a bit with the LSD

Initial Torque: 20-30
Acc: 30-40
Brake: 10 (i like it a bit unstable while braking :D)

And for me they accelerate quit good out of the corners and the oversteer is not so heavy, evan if you steer while throttle input. (But they are stil "lively" ;))
Furthermore install a FC Suspension for a bit more handling/cornering etc. but the LSD has more influence for me.

I've got a similar question
Zonda without skid recovery - how do you control that with a wheel? (g27 just in case you're asking)

Just the same as with the DS3, try to modulate the gas pedal. Try to put on full throttle only on a straight line.

Use only up to 50% throttle when cornering (maybe even less!), than build up as you get to know the car :)

Well didabout 30 laps with skid rec on tc5 and abs 3 then skid rec off TC3 and abs 2 and was 9 seconds faster round trial mountain ha gonna take some time I fear :)
