zr1 (r.m) grind help

after 10 races I noticed that my zr1 was been caught up by the other cars in the american championship.
After 20 races I'm having to drive like jenson button just to scrape a win. ? I've changed the oil any advice please . Thanks in advance .
 
Make sure you have SOFT RACING tires... Mine sometimes switches to Sport tires which came on the car stock.
