The following rules apply to promotions or contests held in collaboration with or hosted by GTPlanet, either on the site or via “social media” channels such as Twitter or Facebook.
When we run a contest or promotion, we’ll post a link to these rules along with instructions on how to participate. You will never be required to purchase anything to participate. If you do participate, you are agreeing to be bound by these rules with no changes.
Our contests are open to current US residents who are 13 years or older only. The contests and your participation in them are subject to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy available at https://www.gtplanet.net/aup and https://www.gtplanet.net/privacy – which are part of these rules. The contests are also subject to the terms of the applicable social platform.
Within our social media channels, we may occasionally request Tweets or comments for the chance to win prizes. When we do this, we reserve the right to pick our favorite response based on whatever reason we decide. In order to be accepted as an entry, your tweet must include @GTPlanetNews or the hashtag that has been specified for that contest. If we feel there should be more than one winner — or there is a chance at multiple winners — the same conditions apply.
If we run a contest that offers prizes or focuses on the first number of responses, the applicable social media platform’s official time stamp will be used.
Our social media contests are run on platforms that we don’t control. We’re not responsible for any errors or outages or if we don’t get your post or message in time.
You give us permission to use anything you post or share through your participation. For example, we may use your name, profile information, content, etc., to announce you as a winner. Anything you send us directly will become our property and will not be returned. Contest winners are responsible for any applicable taxes.
We reserve the right to exclude or remove any material/messages/usernames/content, etc., of those who participate if we deem anything to be inappropriate. You may be excluded from our contests for any reason. If you are under the age of 13 or do not reside in the US, unfortunately, you cannot participate due to legal complications. If you are younger than 18, we’ll ask for a parent or legal guardian to sign an affidavit if you are deemed a winner. Void where prohibited.
If you happen to be one of our lucky winners, we will attempt to contact you about where to send your prize(s). If you don’t provide this information or respond within a reasonable amount of time, a new winner will be determined. Prizes are provided “as is”.
