The coupling that holds the steering wheel onto the base and lets you swap wheels without tools. Each manufacturer has its own, and they do not interchange: a Fanatec wheel does not fit a Moza base because the couplings are different shapes.

The ClubSport DD+ is Fanatec's PlayStation-licensed high-end base, with 18 Nm of holding torque and FullForce. It works with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. At 18 Nm there is strength to spare, so the heaviest cars and hardest impacts come through in full while lighter forces stay crisp. It takes Fanatec wheels on the QR2 quick release and connects Fanatec pedals, shifters, and handbrakes. It comes as a bare base with T-nuts for a rig and is best bolted into a cockpit, though a ClubSport DD Table Clamp is available. Fanatec also sells it with the Gran Turismo DD Extreme wheel as the Gran Turismo DD Extreme.

ClubSport DD+ vs. GT DD Pro

The Gran Turismo DD Pro is Fanatec's PlayStation step down, at 8 Nm on the same QR2 quick release, so wheels and pedals carry over. It suits a desk better, and FullForce is there too.

ClubSport DD+ vs. Logitech PRO DD11

Logitech's PRO DD11 is a PlayStation-licensed alternative at 11 Nm with TRUEFORCE and a table clamp in the box. It is less strong, and Logitech's range of wheels and pedals is smaller.

ClubSport DD+ vs. Podium DD

Fanatec's Podium DD is stronger still, at 25 Nm holding and 33 Nm peak, but it is not licensed for PlayStation. For PlayStation, the ClubSport DD+ is the top of Fanatec's range.
