Fanatec CSL DD (8 Nm) FullForce

The CSL DD 8 Nm is Fanatec's entry direct drive base with the Boost Kit 180 power supply included, which raises it from 5 Nm to 8 Nm. Direct drive gives smooth, quick, detailed steering, and 8 Nm is where heavy cars and fast corners start to feel properly weighty on a desk. FullForce adds high-frequency detail in supported games. It takes Fanatec wheels on the QR2 quick release, and Fanatec pedals, shifters, and handbrakes plug into it. It works with PC, and with Xbox when paired with an Xbox-licensed Fanatec wheel, but not with PlayStation. A CSL DD Table Clamp is sold separately for desks, and T-nut rails take it to a rig.

CSL DD 8 Nm vs. CSL DD 5 Nm

The 5 Nm CSL DD is the same base with the standard power supply. It feels just as smooth and detailed, only lighter, and the Boost Kit 180 brings it up to 8 Nm later. It is the way in if the budget is tight.

CSL DD 8 Nm vs. Logitech RS50 Base

Logitech's RS50 Base matches the 8 Nm and brings TRUEFORCE, Logitech's version of high-frequency detail. Its range of wheels and pedals is smaller than Fanatec's, but older G-series pedals carry over through the Racing Adapter, and it also needs a clamp bought separately.

CSL DD 8 Nm vs. ClubSport DD

The ClubSport DD is Fanatec's step up, at 15 Nm on the same QR2 quick release, so your wheels and pedals move across. The extra strength suits a rigid cockpit more than a desk.
