The T598 Servo Base is Thrustmaster's direct drive base for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Its Direct Axial Drive motor gives 5 Nm of constant torque with up to 100 percent overshoot, so short, sharp forces like curbs and impacts can briefly reach double that. HARMONY adds high-frequency detail through the same motor, and a Race Dash screen on the base shows settings and game information. It takes Thrustmaster wheels, pedals, shifters, and handbrakes. It bolts to a cockpit through four points underneath, and the Desk Mounting Kit is sold separately for desks.

T598 vs. T300

The T300 Servo Base is the belt-driven step down. It is less refined than direct drive but takes Thrustmaster's older wheels directly.

T598 vs. Fanatec GT DD Pro

Fanatec's Gran Turismo DD Pro is the main PlayStation rival, at 8 Nm with FullForce and Fanatec's broad range on the QR2 quick release.

T598 vs. T818

The T818 is Thrustmaster's step up, at 10 Nm of constant torque, but it is PC only.
