RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

very very nice volvo c30 tune!! thanks a lot i appreciate it. Just ran the 300km grand valley endurance race in that car in 2 hours. 1 min.

I tried out the Elise 111R Romeo tune and it was great. I am notoriously bad at driving MR cars (can't drive the Lotus Evora even with tunes I have found for nothing) but I was able to drive the Elise 111R quite well. I took it to 3 tracks so far:

Grand Valley East: Fastest Lap was just under 1:03
High Speed Ring: Fastest Lap was around 1:05
Daytona Road Track: Fastest Lap was around 1:52.529

Note: I use racing softs on the tune instead of the sports soft

On Grand Valley East the car excelled around the corners and was a pleasure to drive. I can't think of any issues I really saw on that course at all. It just flew in/out of the corners.

High Speed Ring/Daytona Road Course - Both of these showed a problem with the car (most likely the way I drive). Under braking from 160mph the tail really wants to be in front (tail slippage). This is really noticeable on the Daytona road Course going into that first sweeping turn after a full lap.

I do use a Driving Force Pro wheel and I have noticed that the brake pedals on that wheel go from 0% to 100% on very quickly and it is hard to apply light pressure on the brake pedal. Is there something I can tweak to the tune to help this?

I plan on using this car in a under 400hp race the community I belong to is having. It simply is hard to beat on the mostly twisty tracks that are scheduled.

Just a heads up to you guys, I have a waiting list of cars that need to be sent off to their owners, no thanks to the daily gifting limit. If you would like to send me a car to tune and send back, could you please put it off for 2-3 days? This does not affect requests where the car to be tuned belongs to me, only requests that involve sending me an already built car.

Apologies to NSX>GOD and Kyaw for the delays.

Edit: Sent NSX>GOD's car to him.

just tried out your volvo C30 tune on polyphony digital cup. raced once with all mods and no tune and then raced with your tune and shaved an easy 3 seconds off of my lap times. not a car with drastic need to be tuned but the times show the improvement. biggest adjustment was the gearing: without the tune i would max out in 6th halfway through the straight, slowed me down. with the tune i'd never max out and i'd be taking turns in a gear lower, sped me up. seems like a car that would benifet from some manual gearing. tires were perpetually red every time you put the throttle down. don't think theres much to do about that in 400 hp FF with DS3. my no throttle or full throttle style is no help either. thought i felt a tad bit more understeer with your tune. particullarly in ungulated areas of track, and i've been chalking it up to lsd settings. though it could be my getting used to taking the turn in a lower gear. two spots on trial mountain are the only places it showed up: the blind right after the tunnel turn. and the last part of the section right before the back hairpin. otherwise good stuff. car was made tighter and all around better for higher performance. look forward to trying more of your tunes.

Something of note is (as I've mentioned previously) you really should keep the C30 below 6500rpm; past that it starts getting a bit breathless. The "tires going red" is entirely normal for it, I suggest you try using the throttle as a rotational aid (nailing the gas at the right time will actually pull the nose in rather than cause understeer).

Also, the LSD is a bit of a late addition; the original settings were 7/22/5 and some drivers will find that more suitable; the current settings are outright faster but more difficult to get the driving bit right with.

Hey check the rear camber on that 350Z :dopey:

2.1/37<---
It's for the epic stance it has. I think it's meant to be 3.7, RJ will fix it soon.
Just curious, but could you guys tell me what color that is on Romeo and the C63? :)

I don't know about Romeo, RJ painted it. The C63 is just one of the dealership colours you can buy it in, I forget the name, B-Spec is doing endurances so I cant check.

The old Hawkeye Impreza wasn't exactly a bad car; it was fairly lightweight, handled well, and looked pretty decent.

But, as always, there's room for improvement. So, starting with the Spec C Type RA, we went even lighter and more powerful and enhanced the aerodynamics a bit to boot. 400bhp means it'll get to the next corner quickly, and a well-sorted suspension and differential setup means it'll get through said corners quicker than most anything as well.

When we released our Civic VTi-R, we said that we’d introduce an RM version later down the line. Well we’re now down the line and this is the RM version of the VTi-R.

While this Civic Type R bases it’s settings on the VTi-R, we’ve refined the settings to work with the racing modifications, as well as the extra power and torque provided from the turbo. Those who liked the VTi-R should love this Type R.

25th Feb 2011 - Transmission & ballast/power settings.
11th Oct 2011 - Spec II adjustments.

The TT-R touring car was very successful.

Then it died off. It's now returned to show how things are done.

Our CR-Z Type R has one big flaw. Seats. It only has two of them. Yes you can take your lady friend for a weekend drive down some country lanes, but what happens when your lady friend becomes your wife and becomes the mother of your adorable children? The CR-Z Type R will have to go. This is where the Insightful Honda comes in. It understands that you want to keep your family happy, but you really miss your CR-Z. How about a 5-door hatchback with CR-Z Type R performance? The Insightful Honda delivers.

The Ford GT is a lot of things... But a slouch is not one of them.

That said, the performance (and the drive) can still be greatly improved upon. Hence this, our GT600 package. We've added quite a bit of aerodynamic help, a small twinge of power, lightened it, and regeared it for optimal top speed. The result? A car that shames everything in the price bracket in every way.

This is the Integra Type R, the road legal version of our Integra Type R Turbo. Where the Turbo is racing modified with a huge turbo, this is a non-turbo road car with some aero modifications. The settings may look familiar and that’s because they are the Turbo’s settings. The settings transferred almost flawlessly and by simply adjusting the suspension to make up for the lack of high downforce, the Integra Type R handles just as well, if not better than the Turbo.

20th Sep 2011 - Transmission & LSD settings.

Holy cow that's a lotta new tunes :D

I'll check out the Civic Type R and FordGT over the weekend.
They're the only ones I have in my garage right now. Saving up to buy the 908 so I'm trying not to buy more cars. Too bad my STI and DC5 have been RM'd

We have a DC5 RM too. :D

i'm about to pick up an LFA from the NCD. i also have a 787B with 0 miles that i'm dying to start ripping apart. i'll definitely be checking out those 2 tunes from u guys.

just one quick question about the 787B tune. i have the regular version i'm guessing so would yur 787B stealth tune work for me as well without any changes?

can't wait! :D

It will work on both 787B's without any changes between them, yes. 👍
