I don't think I understand--we don't have good LMP specs after multiple seasons racing? Bermudakid's popular Le Mans Proto series isn't competitive? Since I've been in GT all this time I truly don't know, but it seems there was always some good proto battling in this series. Que paso?

We can drop the Bentley to 540hp and 930kg. Drop the R8 05' to 540hp 950kg. Let the Pescarolo's run 900kg 560hp or 570hp. They may not be the best handling, but they'll have good straight line speed. The Toyota is good as well, run it at 530hp 900kg because it's top speed is stellar. The 908's can be 560hp or 550hp 930kg (stock). So basically, the fastest cars according to everyone else- the Bentley and R8 can get a HP drop (weight increase for the Speed8) but they'll still be mighty competitive.

👍

I'm going to run this season in a Toyota GT-One. I'll give up the Bentley to one of the other guys that aren't so fast so they can have a better challenge at wins.

I've seen that everyone seemed to forget that since I switched to GT class, an Audi R8 is available...

Translation: I'll beat you with one arm tied behind my back.

Haha, jk seth

Did you ever buy that LMP?

Not yet, i started doing all those seasonal races and im up to about 3.4m. I didnt know you won car tickets for completing those things! Im gonna have to do all of them now.

Alright, just took the Audi R10 out for the first time. All i did was adjust the tranny, set lsd to 10/10/10 and erase the rear toe (why does every car come with +.20, durrrh). Ive done about 4 laps and so far i have a 1'49.7 @ GP/F. I know i can get at least another second or so out of this car with more seat time and tuning, so that should lay to rest the balance issue for the R10.

Edit: 1'47.0 now, tuning is the key

I need pre-season track info so I can test plz?

I would also like to know which track are we using in the last pre-season.

BTW, may I suggest that when we race at Fuji, we use the GT version (no chicane) instead? As the name says, its more suitable for Endurance races, rather than the F version which is used for open wheelers' races (Formula 1, for example).

I don't like the GT version of Fuji. The Fuji-F layout is better IMO. Adds a little chicane that can be used as an overtaking zone. The GT version has people not slowing enough and running wide in the grass and run-off zone. That's a good time with the R10 as well, Kevin. It does get good horsepower and has lots of torque.

Preseason is going to be Fuji this Friday.
I'd say run the version with a chicane. But if they don't use it for normal endurance races, don't.

That's the only layout they use. SuperGT, F1 and the WEC this year. The 'GT-layout' I have never seen being used IRL.

I say that for LMP/GT cars, Fuji GT is the best layout, but given your reasons not to run it, I have to agree with you. Shame, nonetheless...

I triple agree, it will help save tires

Anyone practicing tonight?

I might for a LITTLE bit.
Can't say for sure.

I might be down for some practice, or BF3, or both.

I'll be on late tonight, but I'm at 10pm PST only downer

Pretty sure we're doing F, havent done any laps yet though. I have an end of phase test tomorrow at school so i probably wont get any driving done until just before the race.

I thought pre-season was at Daytona, that's where I've been practicing at :nervous::banghead:
Well for the record I broke into the 1:36's on mediums at daytona, but I will probably be horrible at Fugi since I had no practice there

Better to practice Daytona since its the first real race we have that counts for points.

Just remember to have your mind made up on which class/car you're using after tonights race.

Back from the dead! If I get off of work at a decent time I might be able to make it. Its still pre season right? I think I'll bring out the GTOne tonight. If I can keep it competitive I might consider staying in that class.

Yeah i drove the R10 the other day and did pretty well with it, perhaps next season ill consider a move to lmp. For now its all about putting the ZR1 in victory lane

I'm good with the Pug, I'd like to lock that down if possible.

However I might not make the preseason race, because I'll be watching the Long Beach qualifying session at 8pm EST US and I need to be on campus to use ESPN3.

You guys should watch as much of it as you can. The race is tomorrow.
