Well, i built my hopes up that Gamescom would give us information on a release date......so, I'm trying my best to not do the same for thr TGS. But, when the date comes closer and the anticipation levels rise, this becomes infectious and I'm sure I once again will be excited about the release date.
So, i would like a release date and more information about online play, especially the private rooms.

I don't know if I would interpret "major advancement" in the same way as you...

"Yamauchi: At E3, we showed a concept video and this time at Games-Com, we have a playable demo with damage, and I think you can expect a similar major advancement at TGS"

Wait? I thought the E3 vid was ingame and now it's a concept vid?

Also that "concept" vid also showed panels deforming and then at Gamercom that was removed. Not what I'd call a "major advancement"

So I hope there isn't another "major advancement" of that type at TGS.

Polyphony doesn't have to show me anything else. I just want a damn release date!

Weather changes day night cycles online features. WRC and Nascar tracks etc

AND RELEASE DATE..

I'm hoping for the announcement of a livery editor (or at least a paint shop), conformation of the number of cars with damage/interior views, a release date, and more information on the tuning and performance upgrades that will be in the game.

I guess it will be the headtracking feature. I know, we have allready discussed it, because the featurelist was on the japanese website, but i guess PD still thinks its major news, just like SONY thought the PS3 Slim would be a surprise at GamesCom i guess.

But we will never know, i hope for weatherchanges.

I think the weather & day/night cycles, online features, driving physics, damage modelling and maybe something else but i have no idea what this could be.

I am hoping for less treads that start with " What would you expect/want/think..." :sly:

I am hoping for a release day so I can take the week off 👍

I think he is talking about an advance in damage modeling.

The theme of that answer is clearly about damage.

He mentioned that the damage shown at GamesCom was from an early build, so I think they will show a more recent build with updated damage.

I've got the Play mag and it's pathetic. A cover item and inside it's just one page with a few old screen shot and hardly any comment.

Just dug Play out of the bin. In fact it's two photos. The cover says new info, which it isn't. It's shocking and I've cancelled my subscription.

Kazunori: "Welcome, everybody. I hope you didn't mind the wait, for what you are about to see will please you. Please, take a look at this video."

Next we see a Porsche peel off at the Monza starting grid. Two long skid marks are now tattoos for the track. 10 feet of beauty. Next the Porsche hits a wall at 75MPH and mass damage is shown, much more than what GamesCom revealed. The Porsche backs up a few feet to get back to the track. OMG REVERSE LIGHTS.Then toward the end the once blue skies open up and turn dark black. Violent winds and rain cause the track to become dangerous and slick; the Porsche flips! The car is totaled. Roll over! Then he brings it back to the garage, fixes up the Porsche and then goes to customize it in the paint shop. He makes the 911 GT2 black and red.
That'd be pretty much what I'd want. lol, everything in one.

"You’ll find that Gran Turismo for PSP is closer to GT5 and it’s a lot different from the history of the GT series that we’ve had over the years. It’s sort of a small revolution going on within the game design and the system."

i hope this doesnt mean they've tinkered with the GTmode, and i certainly hope this isnt like the gtpsp mode.

however in regards to the major advancements i think it can be assumed that at TGS we will have a near retail copy of the game, so most judgements could/will be made then

We already know the freakin' release date.
It's december 4th. There are loads of sites that reported this date, along with PS3 Bundles etc.

If they'd only give us the release date at TGS, I'd be VERY disappointed.

I want to see new or improved features, and nothing else!

Haha, nice one :D

Hope they show nothing! or not to much...

We know every little detail from FM3 or NFS Shift... so there are no more surprises...

Actually there is TONS we don't know about those games.

The only difference is that those games feed us a few screenshots and a tidbit of info every week or two.

And I would greatly appreciate if Polyphony would do the same. I don't see the silver lining in having them ignore us for months and months on end.

I don't know, maybe Polyphony is more involved with their Japanese speaking fanbase but they sure aren't when it comes to their English speaking fans.

I've actually talked to ( online ) a few of the devs of both those games you mentioned on many occasions. They are really involved with their fans. In that sense, I wish Polyphony were more like them.

But think about that. GT5 is out, you buy it and you have no idea what awaits you... And then you play a while and get an information that you unlocked the Porsche dealer or some other things like tracks and more...

But you are right, some screenshots would be nice...

I ve just read that GT5 will be playable in 3D at the IFA tomorrow... Maybe we see something new... or only the gamescom demo...
