can someone link me to the extra list of smilies...
 
Wow, I've been here how long and didn't even know about those...
 
This has this as the first step:

Step 1: Right click on the smilie you want to use, and select "Copy Shortcut" .

I don't have a "Copy Shortcut" option when I right click on an image. What would be the linux equivalent?

The text will differ based on whatever browser you're using. In Firefox, it should read as "Copy Image Location". Basically, you just need to grab the direct URL to the image and include it in your post as you would any other picture.

No, they're separate from the default smiley set to keep the default smiley set simple and usable. They are currently linked from the FAQ.

What are they like (besides the smilies)?
 
I like the way how the hats adjusts according to emotion, like a happy one is an erecting form.

You don't have to do anything to use them - they've temporarily replaced all of the smilies on the main site (you won't see them in the mobile app unless you view individual posts).
 
Nope, that's what he gets for all the swearing he does the rest of the year.
 
Speaking of smilies,

What is the ampersat smiley at the bottom of the Smilies page? It comes up as a broken picture link.
