Shouldn't it be more at home? Like Daytona? ;)

I'll see if I can come too.

I will try to drop by, listening to Bill Cosby's '200MPH' that is about getting a Shelby Cobra.

^no lemans was where he had all his wins and where his cobra was debuted as well as his daytona coupe. Lemans is where he left his mark.

Edit: my web connection is bein wierd so the room may close.

holy cow 30 mins and the room is nearly full. great turnout guys.
the room is open now and will remain open until further notice. I will reopen tomorrow morning and connection permiting tomorrow night.

Room #?

I'll try to get there. I've got a Daytona 500 to go to later on.

Took out my Shelby cars for a spin. Thanks for setting up the room. 👍

Wait.... he's dead??? :(

I just tried to connect to the server a bunch of times

its borked. you need to reset the room. turn on damage then turn it off or something.

I got kicked by my net connection but the room is still up to my knowledge.

I drove 10 laps in the LeMans circuit today in the afternoon in my Shelby Cobra to honor the legend. I must say that a couple of tears escaped from my eyes when the sun was setting down in the last laps...

The same. The next time I visit the factory or museum, it'll probably be even moreso.

If i can connect and if I feel well enough to stay awake I will Honor the legend. I'm planning my own tribute tomorrow in a shelby. 2 laps around Nurburgring then 1 lap around ssrx and then to cap it all off with 10 laps around Laguna Seca and then daytona. this will be a public room if anyone is willing to Honor Carroll Shelby.

Rest in peace sir. you will be missed

Gentelmen and women, I have to apologize for the Carroll Shelby Cruise this morning. Apparently power went out in my neighborhood and I over slept. Will create it as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support.

Is it still up? I'd love to be part of it.
Edit: never mind, I just seen the last post, make sure you let us know in advance! :)

I'm going to buy a stock Shelby 66 and try to find a room like this or maybe start one.

I was about 10 years old and a family member worked at a car auction that did a classic collectors car auction every year. There was a beautiful black lacquer 65 427 Shelby Cobra ORIGINAL that went through and eventually sold for $250,000 now 21 years ago. I will never forget how beautiful that car was or how rumpity thumpity that 427 sounded and felt in the stomach.

R.I.P. Carrol Shelby.

I'm either bringing the GT350R or the classic super-historic Ford GT40 that he developed with ford

I know how you felt. one of my fondest memories was tailing a cobra(I know now that it was most likely a replica) down hwy162 in my area thinking "man i want one of the when i get my license. I want to actually build a replica with a REAL 427 cobrajet.

A dodge viper would be welcomed too. I reallly hope someone shows up with a ferrari p4 so we can have a race between the two original rivals Enzo and Carroll.

There has been occasions that REAL cobra's are rolling on the street but it's VERY RARE from what I've seen and heard. Seen a couple in Monterey rolling around during Concours d'Elegance and I have seen a number of very accurate replicas rolling around and that would be plenty enough for me as well. I hope they do an all Shelby cruise/race at Laguna Seca this year as tribute to him

That 427 is a true beast of an engine, with that engine it would be an amazing car to own and DRIVE A LOT. I hear you can still find those engines on flat bottom jet boats. You buy the boat, take the 427 out and then put in a cheaper more plentiful engine resell the boat and then you have a 427.
