Little news round up as a lot has been happening, mostly transfers.

Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton to Liverpool is pretty much a done deal, he just needs to pass a medical in a deal thought to be worth around £35 million.
Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jude Bellingham for £115 million including add-ons.
Karim Benzema has left Real Madrid after 14 years and will join Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, Al Ittihad also looks set to sign N'golo Kante.
Many reports today saying that Lionel Messi will join MLS Inter Miami when his PSG contract expires this summer.

Away from transfers, Sheikh Jassim has made a fifth bid to buy Man United, he says it will be the final bid and he expects to here back by Friday, it has looked increasing likely that Sir Jim Ratcliffe's bid would be accepted but that hasn't been confirmed, SJM bid will involve keeping the Glazers as minority shareholders as apparently a few of them are reluctant to sell the club. I just want this whole saga to be over now, its been going on for too long, Glazers announced they were looking for investment back in November!

Can Real Madrid afford both Bellingham and Harry Kane if that were to become a thing or is it only one of the two?

Messi has now confirmed that he will be joining Inter Miami, he said that he held talks with Xavi and Barcelona but Barca couldn't sort their financials out to accommodate him.

Miami currently bottom of their league and sacked Phil Neville last week.

Messi to Miami news is totally insane. I was actually looking at going to some Inter games before they vacate nearby Lockhardt for the new ground they're building on top of Melreese International (Still really upset about losing a really good public golf course here). The cheapest ticket prices went from $27 to $461 instantly.

Alexis MacAllister has been revealed at Liverpool now, having completed the signing.

Hope he does well there and continues to thrive. Been a great player for us in the relatively short time he has been involved with the 1st team, sad to see him go but, Brighton, as ever, will have someone already in the wings to come and replace him. Buanonotte already doing a fine job in a similar role, Billy Gilmour as well starting to really shine towards the back end of the season so, Alexis will be missed, but quickly replaced.

Since Messi's arrival was confirmed Inter Miami have gone from 1.1 million Instagram followers to nearly 5 million, which is insane.

I know there is a European football thread but I have to give West Ham a mention for last night, it was pretty special and I am happy for them, it now means there will be eight PL teams competing in Europe this coming season!

Jude Bellingham has joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund for £115 million which makes him the most expensive English player ever, he has signed a six-year deal.

James Milner will join Brighton on a free when his contract at Liverpool expires on the 30th, one year deal with an option of a second.

Transfer window is officially open, Premier League fixtures are out tomorrow.

Just wait until Wrexham sign him next year.

Those are ridiculous ticket prices though, even considering the obvious price gouging.

Gary O'Neill was surprisingly sacked by Bournemouth this morning, the club then announced Andoni Iraola as his replacement, O'Neill did a really good job keeping Bournemouth up last season.

The exodus to Saudi Arabia is gathering pace with Ruben Neves of Wolves the latest going, this is a big move as most of the players going there are older looking for one last pay day. But Neves is 26 and had interest from Barcelona.

Of 53 nations in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, only 5 still have a 100% record, including England and Scotland...

Another bad night for Wales, I know we had Morrell sent off but still, plus two red cards in two games also isn't good, I think Rob Page is under a bit of pressure now as we haven't played well in a while, the football hasn't been good enough.

Horrendous. It's back to the 90s with drubbings and dross.

We should be doing better, we have a good squad even without Bale.

Arsenal have had a second bid for Declan Rice turned down by West Ham, it was £ 90 million with 75 up front and 15 in add ons, it would have been a club record fee for Arsenal.

That's totally insane. Does anyone in their right mind actually think Declan Rice is worth more than 90mil?

There has been some interesting transfer news today, mostly involving Chelsea and Saudi Arabia.

So you may have noticed that there has been a increase of players moving to Saudi this Summer and it's mostly to do with the fact Ronaldo is there and everyone else is just following suit (well that and money of course!) and the big topic today has been the fact that a few Chelsea players are going there. Kante, Koulibaly, Mendy and Ziyech are confirmed with Hudson-Odoi and Aubameyang also rumoured, now the reason this is interesting is that it turns out that Chelsea do have some minority Saudi shareholders, also Todd Boehly was pictured in Saudi during the World Cup, so everyone is now questioning whether or not this is above board.

Chelsea do need a clear out but not just because of the massive squad but also to comply with FFP after their mad spending. Man City have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Kovacic and Chelsea also turned down a second bid from Man United for Mason Mount of £50 million

Not sure Boehly being pictured in Saudi during the World cup suggests anything to me in itself. Considering at that time all the best players in the world were playing football in nowhere else but Saudi and therefore anyone looking for new players would find them nowhere else - to me it would seem to be more odd if he wasn't there? Especially as he was still acting as some kind of weird (and extremely rubbish!) talent scout at that time.

I'm not saying that someone shouldn't ask the questions, but to be fair it's not like there isn't also a conspiracy free explanation available. Saudi want high profile players and Chelsea have a lot available all at once. The most they could find available from elsewhere would be one or two from each club? Why would Saudi NOT look at this as an obvious thing to do and why would Chelsea NOT do this now that they have not qualified for Europe?

The "dodgy" scenario only seems to work in my mind if Chelsea bought these players all along just with the intention to sell them to Saudi this summer.

Also, it kind of relies at least partly on Chelsea deliberately not qualifying for Europe as some of these players would potentially not be leaving otherwise?
Which would mean Boehly being duplicitous or devious with transfers rather than being inept. Which i suppose is possible but doesn't sound like the most likely scenario to me personally.

And being a Chelsea fan, if anything the idea that we didn't just **** up this year accidentally would weirdly sound better in some ways... 😂 But I just don't honestly think that's likely the case here, personally.

If you took him out of West Ham last season, they'd have not won a European trophy and been relegated. That second part alone is worth way more than £90m.
Perhaps they're trying to squeeze Man City for more after they let Capn Gundo walk to Barca for free. Come to think of it, I guess 90 million isn't bad at all considering how Grealish brought in 117. Even as just a ball-winning midfielder, Declan probably brings more to a side than Jack.
