Replay Checking:

1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Very clean GP section, I was surprised you were only 0.5 ahead of me at the beginning of the old track.
I had pretty poor Metzgesfeld, you gained time staying in 4th. Same thing at Ex-Muhle. 4th gear you made the bumpy turn look smoth Another 0.6 at the Karussell. I got some back through Wippermann but lost again at Eiskurve.
The biggest surprise was the final chicane. I wish I had balls to take the final corner of 9 minute lap that fast

GTP_Sweep:

Not as wild as Jimi but still some great saves. You were up by almost two seconds at Hohe Acht. The twisty part after that was pretty nervous. Nearly lost it after the Kleine Karussel, allowed me to get within 0.250 only to leave me in the dust at the final chicane.

So what I learned from the three replays is that I suck at Ex-Muhle, Karussell, and the final chicane

Cheers mate. Low downforce and ABS0 makes for the loose driving! Tried increasing downforce and ABS but couldn't keep up with my ghost.

Thanks to Kev for the combo and all the admins for another great week. Really enjoyed this week and had my fingers crossed for a podium but honestly wasn't expecting a division win with so many of us so close at the T9 split. My splits for the 'back 9' were:

Thanks Dan, does seem a long time doesn't it. This is in fact only my third division win, the last being wk53 in GT5 at Monza - so actually only a 16 month hiatus!! Nurburgring has been pretty kind to me (in all configurations, old and new) over the years...

Thanks for checking Mike. I ran wide on the exit of the Kumho-Kurve which then compromised my entry into Warsteiner-Kurve, otherwise the new section went well. Ex-Muhle and Bergwerk are two of the most important corners on the track IMO as they both lead into uphill sections, so a poor run through them can drain time from a lap. I found the two Karousell's very difficult to judge and always seemed to turn the curves into octagons! I found the car very stable and forgiving which gave me a bunch of confidence into the chicane. I was running stock brake bias so it was predictable under braking, and my 160/300 downforce setting also tended to understeer a little, again bringing stability. There's no way I could have hung onto a 350/300 setting that I think some of the D1 boys were using. Don't get me wrong, I've lost plenty of laps in that chicane in past combos, but always managed to get through cleanly this week, and this lap actually had a PB in the final sector.

And how much tire smoke under braking? I couldn't do the low-downforce thing, but I still locked up the brakes a couple times.

I figure my mid-downforce call cost me up to 3/10ths in each of the long-straight sections, but got that back in the twisty parts.

"Slow in - fast out" I try to say. It was really a clash of aero between @raffyvorlengg and me - he'd pull away in the fast parts and the GP portion of the circut, and I'd close and ultimately take the lead in the twisty parts of Nordschliefe (essentially for good coming out of the Karrousel where he found the phantom bump). He actually got to me at the last chicane because I slowed just a bit early, but I got the better exit to beat him back to the line.

Thank you for checking and finding time to write a comment. I ran with DF 200/300 and BB 4/5. That kept the car very stable. I avoided just about all the curbs but now I can see that not all of them were enemies.
My least favourite turn was Ex-Muhle. It spun me out under acceleration few times so I just lost confidence there.

@Gravitron Thanks so much for the split deltas - really interesting, particularly this week. I initially thought my "rest of the lap" was average, but it actually stands up ok against the field but crucially, I really needed to push much more there to really match the guys above - although I'd have never matched Bart's last sectors.
