BEST MOD CHIP....which one?

hey guys i am gonna mod my ps2 for BG3 initial d and gt4p...whats the best chip to get?

1: You are better off with a Japanese ps2. I know, I have a mod and several Japanese ps2s.. the Japanese ones work better.
2: If you want a chip, assuming you have the newest ps2, you should get the dms3.
Remember, installing a chip takes the ability to solder. If you don't know how.. then you have a problem.

haha yah i know how to solder anyways. the Japanese ps2s are excpencive.

yeah they are.. what model ps2 do you own? you might be better off with an older chip.

Yes, I am 1/3 Japanese. My mom was born in Okinawa.

ive got ither a version 5 or 6 (SCPH-30001 R and serial starts with SCPH)...i am buying the DMS3 ver 2 as we speak...if you think that this is the wrong chip let me know.

Sigh.. It is considered by some.. but I would say it is only offensive in a certain context. I haven't met a Japanese that was offended by it..they use it themselves..
