The Cobra I won - love the moss green colour

I've said it before (at least I think I have), and I'll say it again - I enjoy your willingness to tackle photographing some of the more 'ordinary' cars that others (including myself) won't take the time to shoot. Refreshing!

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments - I am pleased that I can bring a little enjoyment to the more mundane cars in GT5, I have a little thing for collecting those more ordinary road cars

Another picture update coming soon - I have had to repair my wheel again with the old soldering iron, at least I can get back to some driving now

Yeah it's nice seeing standards for a change. I recently took out the Motorsport Elise and that was a pretty tough car to get a good angle on

As promised here is an update of my standard car testing...

Bosch... starting with the Toyota Celica

Told you I have a thing for Celicas and Civics

This model handled really nicely though

Not a bad looking car either

As opposed to the New Beetle RSi which handled badly and had the squarest looking polygon body I have seen so far in the standards

Probably because the real car is just all curves - it definitely needs more polygons

This Honda Integra looked and handled really sweetly

As did this S2000

Though it was a little tail happy so I got some drifting practice in

This garish RM'd S2000 was firmly planted though

Surprisingly this Scooby Legacy had huge amounts of understeer

It really did not agree with me

The Vauxhall Tigra had understeer and oversteer seemingly in equal measure

It was quite a fun drive though

As was the Pug 205 Turbo

This Nissan Calsonic race car was not much fun

Perhaps I should have adjusted the ride height for the track - this car was so skittish on the bumps

The Touring Car Scooby was really solid for road holding

Quite nippy too

I got pretty much what I expected out of driving the Volvo Estate

Though I suspect the suspension could use a little firming up

Finally - this little Mitsubishi road rally car

It was absolutely outstanding to drive on a twisty track

I had so much fun in this on Eiger Nordwand I ended up making a session out of it

Lap after lap - endless fun

That's all for now - I thoroughly recommend taking that little Mitsubishi out for a run, bucket loads of fun indeed. Hope you like the latest selection of cars, eclectic as the mix may be

Me being the next one sending my applauses for your takes.

Generally, the AWD´s suffer in most cases from understeer. The legacy is no exception in that. Besides, think it has rather been designed for shopping than taking it to track.

Didn´t see the Volvo being pictured here before. In the last shot you can even recognize the chassis winding while braking hard. Plenty of space, lack of rigidity.

Would be nice if there´s more to come even if it´s from just a girl´s garage

Glad you enjoyed the last set guys - in answer to "Why don't you use more premiums?" - well I do... but I am in the process of testing all the cars I own and, well, the majority so far are standard ones. Besides, I think the standard cars need a little love from time to time

Latest update - sorry it has been a while...

I don't know what possessed me to buy this 106 Rallye

No surprises with the handling - quite undynamic if there is such a word

As was the 206cc

Uninspiring and quite a lot of body roll, as you would expect from a cc

This was quite a nice drive

It's a shame that the lazy PD people forgot to reverse the "west" on this side - FAIL

Made easy work of Laguna Seca though

This little Be-1 was awesome fun around Madrid

I would recommend taking this for a spin on the tighter city tracks

I have not much been a fan of Beamers - they just don't appeal to me

This M3 was a great drive though

I really enjoyed tearing it around Nordschielfe

Why on earth did I buy this brick?

Oh yes - it handles just as it looks

I thought this Eclipse Spyder would be fun

It wasn't though - far too much understeer

I know what was fun though - this Lotus Esprit

I have always had a soft spot for the Esprit

This one did not disappoint - quite the playful little thing

In fact it was my most enjoyable drive around 'the ring' to date!

Damn good looking motor too

As was this Esprit

Good looking indeed

Not quite as nice to drive though - I suspect I may need to adjust the setup for it

Ah... the Lancer Rally Car

Disappointing - in fact I don't think I have found a Lancer that I enjoy driving in GT5 yet

I was quite excited by the prospect of driving this 1980s Mitsubishi Galant - having seen so many on the road during the day

Epic understeer though - shame

Even the Holden had less undesteer

Though I still get the feeling it was really designed for straight roads

This tuned Golf was amazing fun

Broody looking too

A little twitchy at the rear which required a bit of taming

Talking of twitchy...

I just had to buy the Jaguar in British Racing Green

Handling was quite a test though

Not my favourite drive by a long way

The Ford Ka, while most certainly underpowered, was quite a fun drive

Though it had understeer and oversteer problems

I just wish that PD would have spent some time making the textures a higher resolution on the standard cars

I really quite liked the look of the Loctite NSX

The handling did not agree with my style of driving though

You have seen one Miata - you have seen them all

I bought this one for the colour though - typical woman

The Nissan Micra - a bit of a woman's 'shopping' car if ever there was one

It was another hidden gem - surprisingly nippy and excellent fun to drive

Unlike this Mazda

I am sure I had this car in GT4

I don't remember it being such a handful though

I was pleasantly surprised by the Pontiac GTO

I dropped in my 2nd fastest lap time on this circuit with it

I recommend getting the RX8 Concept

Awesome fun to drive!

Predictable oversteer and that sweet rotary engine hum

I am starting to think I should avoid Scoobys though

Quite a handful

Nice looking though I must admit

This Spoon FIT was sweet - though I can't seem to stop calling it a 'Spoon Fed'

Nippy and firmly planted - we got on like a house on fire

I loved my wee test run in this Supra too

I thought I might enjoy a drive in the Vanquish - such child-bearing hips

I soon discovered that it was a killer

I probably won't drive it again unless I have a reason to visit hospital

Finally - for this set at least

The gorgeous VW Karmann - exceptional fun

I hope you have enjoyed the update as much as I have enjoyed testing the cars. What with my Bobs being so active I have been on quite a spending spree and am running behind in my garage testing - one day I might actually set some time aside to finish the special events, license tests and a-spec mode
