LMP: Peugeot or Mazda?

Technically speaking, Mazda does have a pseudo-LMP, the Furai Concept...but it's more LMP2 until you tune it. Then it becomes the cheapest way of winning the big guns, ie. GT All Stars, Like the Wind, 24h Le Mans and Nurburgring 24h 
(I mean cheapest because you can win it from the NR-A Roadster Cup in B-Spec if you don't remember)
But in terms of the 908 and the 787B, I'd say get both. The 787B is faster but harder, the 908 is a little slower but easier to control.
