Decided to boot up GT6 for the first time in a while since the servers were shut down, and have a general mooch around, watching old replays mainly, as well as time trialing a few cars. Was a bit of a fair-well play-through, given that sadly I perhaps won't be coming back to GT6 as often as the others in the series, since there's little left for me to do. Nonetheless, it was nice to come back and have a look back at some of the fun races I had saved over the past few years with some fond memories.

Well, I started GT6 a couple months ago and here is my status pictured below. I believe in taking photos cause others can write anything whether real or not. Anyway, I had to take 3 photos and merge them into this one single photo as the stats required scrolling on my TV 16/9. I have to say I am generally happy with the game overall, golded almost everything, and basically I'm finished and just going to now enjoy my favorite car as I've sold everything else I earned. But, and this is a BIG but, ... Certain aspects of the game I can't stand as they are either to difficult for the average user or total crap IMHO. Specifically, I hate the drift breaks most of all... Totally ridiculous and should not be considered for 100% completion ! The cones are fun though. There is to much Kart stuff for my liking as well. The Lambo in 4S and Bugatti in 5S are ok I suppose, but getting gold was not in the cards for me which is also stopping me from 100% completion. On a more positive note, the final version 1.22 has every car in the dealerships. Once you have saved up 20 Million, and a bit more for upgrades, you can buy any car to use by simply saving the backup file on the PS3 and reloading it ever time you want to try a new car or simply use your master game save from your thumb drive. Not sure If I made myself clear here. Also use Bob for the gold and the hand controller for the "last" Red Bull races which are after the Junior. Way to fast for the average player. There are a few other things that I didn't like and why I'm sitting at 97% completion even though I never lost a regular race. For me I'll be damned if I let these issues anger and frustrate me, cause after all it is a game and should be fun. Overall I think I did Ok (Legally).

Drifting is hard, but try using the throttle to adjust steering. You want just enough wheelspin to balance the traction between front and rear tyres, then you stay balanced throughout the turn.

The Bugatti license test is all about braking and aiming for a tight racing line. It seems counter-intuitive, but sometimes you need to go slower to be faster ;)
