Your top 10 favourite games of all time

I think a thread like this one existed before, in any case:

There are plenty of games that deserve mention and there are a lot of games that are great and I haven't play yet Like Shadows of the Colossus and Journey. I guess that's the list I can formulate from the top of my head, because is a pretty massive amount of games I've played during the last ... like 12-15 years already

IMHO, Okami (PS2) is by the greatest lesser known game of all time. Of the at least 100 people I've mentioned Okami too, none of them had even heard of it, yet somehow IGN gave it game of the year (2006?)

And, no sequals :) 6-10 probably shouldn't be that high up, but I have good memories of them from my childhood. And that includes the M rated Getaway Black Monday, which I've played at least a couple times a year since I was 6 :)

And honourable mention goes to Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. I just remembered it after making this list, and while it should really be 7th, I can't really take off Pokemon Emerald, which I played for about 300hours between the ages 7-10 :)

Sequels still count as separate games, so they're allowed. GT2 and GT4 both hit me very differently at different times in my life. That still leaves 8 others. Again on my list you have S3&K and Generations, both completely different games, even if they are in the same series. Same goes for Assault and Lylat Wars.

There's nothing wrong with putting sequels.

Who do you think has produced the most interesting list? (Don't base this off 'who has produced the most similar list of games to mine', base it off whose list you find most interesting.)

To be noted that I never play these nowadays at all. But all these I have played at release in there respective era's.
And Titles that gave me that wow moment that very few modern games do anymore.

Most interesting list so far?

Well, I'd probably pick Sanji Himura's list for that. It spans quite a few different generations and genres, so if I was to go with a list of games (aside from my own, obviously), I'd go with that one.

I will also not include any more than 1 game of either the GT or PES series instead i will just pick my favorite of each otherwise my top 10 list would just be GT and PES games.

Me too, meant to put one in my runners up, not sure which I would choose, 2 had more going on but was a little laggy compared to 1. 3 was ambitious, and flawed. Have only played demos of the ones since though, that shifting thing in the last one kinda went over my head.

The Getaway and its sequel were very cool games too :)
 
I usually only stick to a few games so I don't have a very large pool of games to choose from.

1. Gran Turismo 4 - I played this a lot with my dad, we were both quite bad at the game which made for lots of close races with the AI (It took us 3 tries to win the Gran Turismo World Championship with the fully tuned Toyota 88C-V) but now we barely play together because our skill levels are so different it's not as interesting.

2. GTA: San Andreas
3. blur - Really fun unpopular arcade racer.. was great until the online servers were shut down.
4. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift

6. COD: Modern Warfare 2

I'm a little curious about this one so I hope it's okay I ask.

I only ever played Need for Speed games on PC and I remember fondly the following:

NFS
NFS SE
NFS II
NFS II SE
NFS III aka. NFS Hot Pursuit
NFS IV aka NFS Road Challenge/High Stakes
NFS V akak. Nfs Porsche 2000/Porsche Unleashed

And for each game it seems they, mostly, got closer and closer to a driving sim with NFS V taking the full step (It's one game with 80 different Porsche's from the very basic early days to the latest thing in the year 2000).

But then came NFS High Stakes II which was ported badly from consoles and a huge disappointment to me. And since then it seems to me the NFS has moved further and further away from being action sim like and to simply out of this world action. Thus my question is this with the NFS series being such a wide variety of racing games do you literally mean "any" because that has me wondering?

Also, for those that are a series, the ones that are just the name of the series, there was no way I could just pick 1 or 2 from it, so that is all of the series, since they are always that awesome. If it is the full name of the game, I played only that specific one.
