What are the best extensions for Mozilla Firefox .91?
Get with the times! Download the current 0.9.2 release.

For me the best extensions are FoxAmp, which enables the control of Winamp within Firefox. IE View is another time saver which allows with a simple click of a button to be able to view the current website in Internet Explorer.

There is Sage a RSS aggregator but it doesn't like importing my FeedDemon .opml file and I don't think it is worth manually importing dozens of sites to it. So I’ve bypassed it for now until an updated version becomes available.

But beware having too many extensions enabled slows Firefox down on dated computers like mine, so I only have IE View enabled. Anyway most of the extensions are pure gimmicks or plain useless. Do you really want pretty icons on your menus, or have the ability to tweak your Firefox title bar’s text? To me it is a matter of do I really need the extension or not.

The only 2 extensions I use are:

Single Window - Forces links that open in a new window to open in a new tab instead.

Adblock - Blocks/removes ads. You can also use it to remove scripts that launch pop-ups, rogue downloads, etc. It also has a Flash overlay thingo...

Thanks. I did not know 9.2 was out... Also, I have most of those now. I don't need AdBlock 'cause I have Norton Internet Secuity! :D

Which is the biggest memory hog I've ever used next to 3D games...

I've got Sage and AdBlock installed. Both are very useful. And I'm about to check out Single Window because I hate when a link is opened up in a new browser.

I Personaly Use Allow Right Click To Defeat Those Annoying Javascript Right Click Disables. I Also Have FoxAmp To Control Winamp, Then Theres Nuke Anything Which Allows You To Remove An Object, Such As An Ad, From A Page; But They Can Be Brought Back With A Simple Refresh. And For Plain Text Links I Have Plain Text Links Which Allows Me To Open A Plain Text Link (Hence The Name Plain Text Links) In A New Window Or Tab. And If Your A Web Developer, Like Me, The Extension Web Developer Is A Very Usefull Tool.
And For Kicks I Have Firesomething To Give Firefox A Random Element/Creature Name Upon Startup.

You can defeat those right click disable thingos by simply turning off Javascript and then re-enabling it once you've finished at the site. I'd rather spend 10 seconds doing that than wasting ram on an extension to do it...

How Does A 14kb Extension Waste Ram? Youd Proably Use More Ram Opening Up The Prefrences Dialog Than Haveing FF Do That Automaticly. And How Is That A Problem? Unlss You Have 32mb Of Ram Or Something. :odd:

Meh. I'm a minimalist. I don't install stuff I don't need...which is probably why when I was using Winamp, I actually cut out half of the items in the Lite installer.

Are you still on Windows 98?

You can still be a minimalist and be on any operating system, DOGG33J.

I use Single Window, that's about the only one I need. 👍

Well, Windows 3.1 would be more like it, but I can't see how you can't have some visual effects.
