This is my first drift settings submission. I suck at drifting, and this setup allows me to pull of some really great drifts. Okay, here's what you need:

Nissan Silvia Spec R Aero (S15)

Modifications: (Go to the tuner villiage - original parts)

Exhaust: Racing

Brakes: Racing - - Balance Controller

Engine: Racing Chip

Drivetrain: Super Close Ratio Tranny - - Stage 3 clutch and flywheel - - Full LSD - - Carbon Driveshaft

Turbo: Stage 2 Turbo - - Sports Intercooler

Suspension: Original (Stage 4)

Tires: N2 - Comfort front and rear

Other: All three weight reduction stages - - Roll cage (If the car you purchased was used, do the stiffness refresher BEFORE you install the roll cage)

Okay, now for the settings: (You should be making 325hp in the "Parts Change/Settings" screen...if not, its probably because you bought a used car and didn't change the oil - - go do that)

Brake Controller: Front 2 - - Rear 10

Suspension:

Spring Rates: Front 10.0 - - Rear 6.5
Ride Height: Front and Rear 72mm (Raise it up to like 78-80 if you are on a fairly bumpy track)
Shock Absorbers: Front 10 - - Rear 9
Camber Angle: Front 3.0 - - Rear 0.0
Toe Angle: Front 0 - - Rear +1
Stabilizers: Front 4 - - Rear 6

Driving Aids:

ASM (Oversteer): 0
ASM (Understeer): 0 (Set to 20 if you are a struggling beginner)
TCS Controller: 0

Limited-Slip:

Initial Torque: 20
Acceleration: 50
Deceleration: 30

When drifting, be sure and use a manual transmission. You will want to drift most turns in 3rd gear, but there are some high speed corners that can be pulled off in 4th gear. NOTE: This isn't a very high-speed drift setup, the speeds are fairly realistic as far as drift competitions go. This is a fairly low-horsepower car; I find it hard to drift with too much power and I think it'sunnecessary. I hope you enjoy it.

It's obvious the popular vote is for 350Z settings. I count four requests and no posts for settings. I would appreciate it immensely.

it looks like that most of the people have different kind of drifting, the most common thing that i see are the tires, i use racing tires medium and superhard. is there need of grip i have grip and no grip whit a drift.
are there any other mpeople who drift whit this kind of tires and dont use handbrake, just a tap on the brakes and on the gas.

thanx :dunce:

could you like re-phrase that part?

well most drifters here would say mixing the compounds of your tires is not recomended. you would not know the full capabilities of your car. but hey its your style, so do what you want.

Can I get some good drift settings for the sileighty, toyota modellista celica trd sports m and nismo 270r. I'd really appreciate it because I'm a newbie drifter

I would suggest Tankspankers soft settings for the Sileighty

thread updated

sorry it's been so long since the last update...school stuff, and you know....

i should add that i'm working on some settings for a 350Z. Primarily suspension mods - no added drivetrain stuff or power. I'll let the end user decide what other components to add. Might be a few more days in the making - gonna get a few of my fellow IDM-ers :sly: to try them out when I'm satisfied with them.

keep the settings coming, and thanks to those who are creating settings off the request list. Bamboo, drifter5, Suzuki, good stuff 👍

Just wandering if anyone has any settings for the 96' RUF CTR2. If not can someone please work on it. this car is a 4wd but i think it has real drift potential 💡 like the subaru wrx c spec. can someone please spend some time tweaking this car. im sure it will please a few people. If i knew anything about setting up a drift car i would do this one myself because i know it would turn out great. some of you guys really know what your doing. 👍

thanks in advance.

PS : this has to be one of the sexiest cars in the game :dopey:

In the past few days, we've been transfering the ownership of the thread back to the original owner and in that process, we lost a few posts. Sorry about that.

Unfortunately, there's not really a way to get them back.

This works great as long as you have a good technique to initiate a drift and can control your throttle and countersteering.

Manual, play around with the spring. :)

This setting only works for me and only me adjust it to your own taste. 👍

Hey, I know this isnt the grip settings forum, but I didnt really know were to ask this. I'm looking for the best grip settings for the Saleen S7 (Its currently 6:15AM, just got the car, been up all night ... picked up GT4 today @ gamestop). I've done all the suspension, breaks, ect mods (no HP mods tho, want to keep it as factory as possible).. I dont know why it is, but I dunno how to tune suspension/breaks/ect worth a damn, but I can drive the hell outta anything... especially if its got a good setup on it. So, any help would greatly be appreciated!

I got one also and added some R5s, Racing suspension and some weight reduction and now it handles like a Dream!

- Just lower it, add two taps to the spring rate and your set!

- I ran a 9.873 with this setup in the 0-400m!

? Am I the only one that hates how short second gear is?

hey im havin some trouble gettin my Evo V to drift, i got N1's all around, racing exhaust, original suspension, an stage 1 turbo, i also have the front wheel distribution set on 10, can anyone hook me up with some decent settings, ive tried puttin more weight in the front, camberin out the back tires more, nothin really works, some nice ones would be GREATLY appreaciated 👍

Yes, as NK4e said, it's very good to have you back. Your GT3 drifting video (exhibition drift vs. racing drift) with the Trueno 86 was what got me into GT drifting. I'm glad I'm finally a member of the forums 👍 :) 👍

I have a look almost every day here. I've put the research center as a joke 'cos I've spent lot of time to get them. And while I was setting up the cars my skills were improving. So, I was doing 2 things at the same time.

I think they're good settings. You've to practice to get used to them.
