s15 machine
:nervous: i need help for my s15 genky hyper HKS i try to drift and if i turn back to get control then i spin :nervous:
I would just say practice

Hey, is this where i post my drift settings? I'm a beginner, can't get some of the angles that i've seen in the clips posted here but never the less... i got bored and did up a Toyota Altezza Sport Wagon, settings are as follows.

Car: Altezza Gitz
Manufacturer: Toyota

Upgrades:
All engine mods excluding NOS
All drivetrain mods inc lsd
Full suspension and brake mods
Full weight red and cage.
N2 tyres

Settings (F/R)
Springs: 9.5 / 4.0
Height: 89 / 89
Damper Bound 10 / 6
Rebound: 6 / 3 (Original)
Camber: 3.0 / 1.0
Toe: 0 / 0
Stabilizer: 5 / 4

Brakes: 5 / 20

Transmission: auto 10
Final Ratio: 3.900
LSD: Default (Don't know enough about this so have left it)

Downforce: None, factory

Aids: Off

Tyres: N2 all round

---
The package gives you about 380 hp, I have tried it with a few less mods such as ecu and exhaust/filter and still does fine. Great car for high rpm drifting, but enough power/torque to get you through those long sweeping corners in 4th. These settings can be unforgiving though, tends to oversteer TOO much, but when you get it right in terms of speed, you can get some good angles... Car is very twitchy. My driving style is to tap the handbrake to set it off, not a whole lot of countersteer is required, just enough to keep the angle.

Looks cool on replays for a station wagon!!!

Thanks

I'm gonna see if I can find someone to hand thread ownership back to me so regular updates can resume again.... Swift, you up to that?

does anyone have drift sttings for a hachi roku, or an FD, also i'm a begginer at this so what is the best type of drift to use in GT4?

^^^
check the very first page on the first post. listed under 'Toyota'. there are many settings for the trueno/levin. As for the FD, there are many different FDs in the game and there are many drifting settings in this thread. And for your last question, there is a seperate thread already dedicated to which the best beginner drifting cars are. try using the search and welcome to the board 👍

Spring rate 10.0 | 10.0
Ride Height 115 | 115
Shock (Bound) 8 | 8
Shock (Rebound) 8 | 8
Camber 3.0 | 0.5 (see NOTE 1)
Toe 0 | 0
Stabilizers 4 | 4 (for a little extra slide, change this to 5 | 5)

Downforce 0 | 0 (see NOTE 2)

Brake Balance 9 | 15 (you may need to change this to fit your style)

Limited Slip Differential 15/45/13

Turn Driving Aids OFF 0/0/0

Transmission auto set to 11 (Default) (i suggest editing the final drive ratio by 0.05 at a time for tighter/slower tracks, increase the number for more acceleration and lower top speed in each gear)

NOTE 1: If the car snaps back (i tend to do this when i get more angle than normal and have to straighten it out or link into another turn), lower the front camber angle down from 3.0. I recommend .5 at a time until it's close to your comfort level, then .1 at a time until it is just right.

NOTE 2: If you slide off the track a lot, add some downforce. Keep the front downforce greater than or equal to the rear.

NOTE 3: I tuned these settings in practice mode meaning there was no tire wear and, if it makes a difference, no fuel load. You may have to change a few things to fit your style, each track, and compensate for tire wear if you use it in races.

To look like Rhys Millen's GTO, as seen on Formula D, buy the GTO yellow, put the 3D Type AB spoiler on, and find NI0307 rims when they appear in the Today's Specials (they look similar to his new rims).

also, i see tankspanker has taken over for the absent RX-7_FC_DrIfteR,
could you take my nismo settings out from toyota and put them under nissan under the name "NISMO GT-R LM Road Going Version" please

Hey everybody im new to this forum..I've been practicing my drifting for about a week, and im kind of getting the hang of it..I used to suggested settings for the 95 rx-7, and i can drift it better than before..I was wondering if anybody has settings for the mustang gt? I've been folling around with some settings, and they kind of work and they kind of don't..my problem is getting it sideways, and making it grip. If anybody could help id really appreciate it.
