:scared: This is my first post on the forums. I've been drifting since GT3 and continuing in GT4. I will be posting my settings here for everybody and will be taking requests for some settings. This is a setting for a '86 Toyota MR-2 1600 G-Limited SuperCharged that you can get from the Historic Showroom Used Car Dealer.

You have to buy the following upgrades :

Racing Exhaust
Brake Controller, NO Racing Brakes
NA Tuning Stage 2, Port Polish, Full Engine Balancing, Racing Chip
Racing Suspension
Economy Tires (N1)
Weight Reduction Stage 1 & 2
Full Customize Tranny
Twin-plate Clutch
Racing Flywheel
Full Customize LSD

Settings :

Brake Controller: 10 Fr 18 R

Suspension:
Spring Rate 9.2 Fr 9.6 R
Ride Height 92 Fr 100 R
Shock Bound 7 Fr 7 R
Shock Rebound 8 Fr 8 R
Camber Angle 3.0 Fr .7 R
Toe Angle 0 Fr 0 R
Stabilizers 3 F 2 R

Tranny: Auto Setting 9

Driving Aids: All Off

LSD:
Initial Torque 25
LSA 50
LSD 10

The car should have 214 Hp after the oil change. It doesn't have to much power so you have to play more with the weight balance for getting into a drift. Enter the corner smoothly and then accelerate. Really gets sideways and back at Apricot Hill.

I would like getting some feedback on my firstpost to know if everything is ok.

Thx :)

Hi Nruel

I'm Richard from the Netherlands. (Haarlem)
I've tested your settings,but i'm a beginner in drifting.
I think its a great setting espesially for a beginner.
The car is well balanced and doesnt have to much power and that is great, becouse you dont have to play that much with throttle. 👍
And you don't go to fast wich you don't want with drifting becouse you must drive nicely and and take a turn fast but for a beginner this is the good speed to start with
The only thing i did was stage 3 tuning to give that 25/30hp more.
Just that extra to drift longer and stay at the right speed in a turn.
But i must play with the throttle more now!
Ow and i bought the rollbar to stiffen it. ;)
I tried to drift a whole track and the best track for this car(i think) is Motorland @ Driving Park.
Well thx for the setting and i'm gonna drift some more to set a fast time on that track and drift all the turns. 👍 :)
(Sofar my time is 51.36 i thought.)
Cheers m8.

Hi mate, good luck with your drifting, I'm dutch too:sly:
Anyway, doesn't matter:dopey:, your a pretty unusual beginner then I guess, most people/beginners tend to start with 500BHP Supra's or something, good start for you, also, I've drifted since the beginning of GT4 (I guess we all) and still can't drift motorland driving park, well........tried once but I sucked. Anyway, you've got a GREAT start I must say, keep it up:tup: Have to say though that most of us don't drift on time but on smoke and angle, your doing speed driftinh, but I hope you know you have a choice:idea::P.

G-T-4-Fan

edit: starting with a 500BHP is not good, just to clear it up:sly:

Hi all!

For a long time I've searched for a forum like this, finally found one! :nervous:

Just want to say that those settings for the RX7 Spirit Type A, really was great! Now I can start to drift for real. Now I have to go drift again, thanks one more time 👍

I'll be back :)
And I wanna say "Hello!" to averyone!

ok, first post updated.

slightly different format for the requests. I'm including a date alongside the requests so people know how long individuals have been waiting for settings. Hopefully this will get things done faster. Time will tell.

oh, and the Nismo is back in Nissan territory. :sly: FC gets all the blame for that one, I had nothing to do with it.

Updates will now be occuring every 2 or 3 days. If you have settings or requests that you would like included in the first post please PM me. Especially for requests... it'll just cut down the number of posts in this thread.

From now on when posting, please try to use car names as they appear on this car list. There's been a few instances of people saying "hey, here's some silvia settings" and not specifying the exact model. I've had to guess a few times.
Please be very specific when posting settings, or PM-ing me requests.
thanks.

Good work on removing vehicles from the request list guys (and gal). 11 have been answered with this update. Keep it up 👍

ok, resume

Was wondering if anyone had settings for the '00 Ruf RGT. I think it's one of the best looking cars in the game, and porsches look unbelievable drifting in reality, so would like to know a decent setup.
I'm going to play around with the settings but I'm still a drifting newbie, so probably won't get very good results.
thanks

Well...I am a Stock Drifter, in that I prefer to make the cars drift totally unmodified with just tire changes...some cars do it great (BMW's especially) and some just don't want to do it at all.

The Ruf RGT I found to be one of the most awesome drifters in the game, I put N3 Front/N2 Rear at first to get the feel for it, then swapped to N2/N1 tires when I got more comfortable with it, later I added 68 Kilos of neutral ballast (my body weight) and have put over 300 Miles on it, sideways around the Nurburgring.

It drifts great stock...I really can't think of anything you could do to make it drift better than just swap to the Standard tires....

If I could get videos onto this crapbox computer I'd have some great stuff to show of me running the Nurburgring backwards in an N2/N1 Ruf RGT.

02' Honda NSX-R, please and thank you.

Very polite. However, This is from the first page

TankSpanker
A few ground rules and an explanation of how this place works:
If you cannot find the settings you are looking for please PM me your request. Posting it is not necessary.

Please PM TS your request.

yup
...or you could just try the NSX-R Concept settings posted by Suzuki, or the ’02 NSX Type-R posted by jdmmunkyman and see how those suit you. There's probably some differences, but i expect you would need to modify the settings slightly to meet your tastes anyways. If nothing else it might give youa starting point.

I will still add the request - nothing wrong with being thorough and complete

edit:
had this in my PM's
Eagle7Seven
I would like to request settings for a Camaro SS ('00). Also a request for 3000GT VR-4 Turbo ('98). These two cars I am really looking forward to drifting with.

gonna update now

Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX Shuichi Shigeno Version ('00)

I started out and tried with the two previously posted settings for this car but I wasn't really satisfied with the cars' initial turn-in (especially at Tsukuba) so I started out from scratch.

Parts/Upgrades:
  • Exhaust: Semi-racing (I believe this is standard)
  • Suspension: Racing (fully customisable)
  • Weight reduction: at least stage 2 (which is standard)
  • Brake balance controller
  • Oil change
This will leave the car at about 210HP

Settings

Suspension:
  • Spring rate: 8.5/7.5
  • Ride height: 80/80
  • Damper (bounce): 8/4
  • Damper (rebound): 8/8
  • Camber angle: 3.0/1.0
  • Toe angle: 1/-1
  • Stabiliser: 5/5

Brakes:
  • Brake balance: 7/24
  • Driving aids: 0/0/0

Leave everything else as it is, enjoy! (Bare in mind these settings are not 100% fine-tuned, You may have to modify the spring rate a little to make it perfect).

Hi GT4 Fan

Yeah i do know that.
But its not the first time i drive and also not the first time i drift.
Tried it ones in GT3 but i didn't have a proper steering wheel than.
But i allways loved drifting and i love to drive with some oversteer so you can slide into corners and still manage to set a fast time with it.
So no power drifting (exept the 1 time with GT3) it was until i checked the settings for the MR2 and i saw that it hasn't got that much power and i know that having 500BHP is fun but hard to handle.(tried it!)
So i tested it and sofar i love it with the MR2. ;)
Trying to drift 2 or 3 turns on a track is fun but driving a whole track is more fun and with al the different turns in it,its also more learning than!
So thatswhy i drift a track.
The only thing is that i want a vid of it later but i dint have a videocam! :indiff:
Whats your speciallity btw?
And is there a vid on the internet of your drifting allready?
You made me curius m8!! :dopey: 👍

doesn't the weight control option tell you (Front<- ->Rear) ? Left goes toward negative(front), right goes toward positive(rear). Anyway once you swing the car around, you can confirm it :)

Wait.

Are you sure about that?

Because when I put 50 Kg at -50 with the Ford Mustang, it eliminated the understeer problem I was getting.

Wouldn't 50 Kg in the front make it push more?

^^ Ballast - discussion fits here, but it would be more suited to that thread.

I have to re-upload my vid again, but I've got a dang download and upload limit in one month that I've already passed. Someone that wants to upload my vid to yousendit.com if you still have it somewhere in the vids on your computer somehow? I would apreciate it so I could let him show my vid:sly:

Edit: Downloading a song now already takes me 30 minutes, thats my dang punishement for exceeding that limit:crazy: BTW I stopped at 30 min, it may take even longer:crazy::banghead:
