A thread like this doesn't need sticky-ing as its always being replied to and is therefore always at the top of the forums anyway.

So, no, its not getting stickied.

if i take a pic of my machine test top speed test course rankings with all of my highest speeds is that ok for photo proof?
Not for a new car. Thanks Viper.

That's quite true. Sticky-ing it wouldn't really make any difference, except the possible loss of exclusivity I mentioned.

Just wondering, tyr, if you know who we are and how important the Skyline records are to us ;) so it's less a case of 'trying'. Records are already waiting to be set :sly:

i dont own a camera of any kind, my friends do. and since i am through with my record setting session i dont think its possible. doesnt the rankings list show as accurate of numbers as the session record? but ya, just wondering, i know you guys would prefer that but i dont have a session screen to take a pic of.

so then what kind of verification do i need, just the session screen or vid as well?

lol, ya true, you guys would do it sooner or later, i just thought id be the first :)

No, not always, it sometimes manages to be a few hundredths out.
A Session Record photo for new cars under 350mph, that's all that's needed.

Perhaps it would've been the first posted R33 speed... :sly:

Actually, I haven't personally. Neither of these 'Projects' are technically mine :) but you could say that :D
Still hunting my 6.2 V-Spec GT-R33... :dopey:

nice record!! congrats!! thanks anyhoo de. now im just trying to figure out how to get my replay from my ps2 to my comp. i think imma have to do replays from now on.

hey i need a few Questions answred. whats the record for top speed using only 4 gears? second whats the difference between a "wheelie" and a slight oscilation in the front end. third whats the top speed record doing a wheelie?

Rules Give 'em a read:tup::)

1. Someone else will have to answer that one...
2. A wheelie is where the car is no longer in state where all four wheels are on the tarmac.
3. Nobody cares. Please, never ask that question again. This is a much respected club for those who actually manage to surpass 300 using four wheels rather than than exploiting the many errors of GT4 physics:tup: .

The fastest speed using one gear is ~305mph, I can't remember who by but it was in a Chaparral 2D. The fastest using three gears was set by Toronado in his 2003 Pescarolo, I believe, and although I don't know exactly what speed it was I woudl expect something in the region of 320mph.

Good answer ;) Thanks

Nicely done jspoon, it's been a while since that record changed hands! Updating Leaderboard...
But I also have something else to add. I will wait until we're onto the next page, to ease reading.

It's 1100 here in the UK, so the celebrations are underway :)

But if you think you're celebrating now, wait until I post my Birthday Present :sly:

EDIT - Which won't be until we're on the next page.

The following speed was sent to me by Toronado a few days ago in PM. We scheduled it to be released today.

Today is, as you know, the Club's birthday. And we thought we should celebrate it properly. The Club has been overshadowed by the name at the top of the Leaderboard for far too long now, a name that could not be removed for any of the reasons we hated it - the run followed all the rules, it was legitimate, and the person posting it is irrelevant. Despite this, I have always wanted it taken from the top of our Leaderboard.
I agreed months ago that as soon as the speed was beaten, it would be removed completely. I was just waiting for the day when it became possible.

Well, what better day than today...
Here is a photo of Toronado's run of 369.91mph.

As we all know, a photo is nowhere near enough to prove something like this. Below is the YouTube linkage to a video of the run, with multiple frontwheel close-ups at key points of the run.

I have scrutinised every inch of this video, and I am certain that it is legitimate. Perhaps even more clearly so than the speed it will now replace.

I hereby declare that the Gran Turismo Four World Land Speed Record is now held by Toronado of GTPlanet, piloting his Toyota GT-One TSO20 Race Car in Esso Ultron Colours to a top speed of 369.91mph.

The previous speed of 368.74mph, set by Rac3rX of GTPlanet on the 29th October 2005 in his Toyota GT-One TSO20 Race Car in Esso Ultron Colours will now be deleted from the Leaderboard.

Leaderboard Updated

I wish the Three Hundred Mile Per Hour Club a very happy birthday indeed, and many more of them!

  :)

Congrats, Toronado!

Happy Birthday Three Hundred Miles Per Hour Thread. Congratulations Toronado.

By the way, which is the best Skyline to get to 300mp/h with? I have tried with my S-Tune but couldn't break 260mp/h. Thanks.
