  3. You must start the race on the same tire compound/combination you qualified with.
  4. You can set the AI up however you wish, as it doesn't matter in this series.
  5. You are allowed to discuss your qualifying times ONLY!
  6. You do not have to vary your qualifying/race start tire combo from race to race.
  7. Most importantly, have fun! :)

News & Notes

  • Some of you guys have been forgetting to put your team name when you submitted your times last week. It's not something that's altering the series, but it makes it easier for me to calculate team points.
  • If I do not receive times from Aquendwato this round, I will pull his name from the series team list.
  • You guys should check out the Clio cup that CAMikaze (who races in this series) has put together. I'm joining in, you should too if you like driving the Renault Clio. :)

Well, given my recent sucess in another series, this should be good. I hope to have a worthwhile result for once.

Hey TS, for both races so far I'm having to put a harder tire on the front of the car to get some form of even tire wear and it makes the handling feel like junk.

Is this the case with other cars? Can it be fixed?

I'm doing that too, I guess with some really nice lines and no tyre squeel wear would be more even but not for me.

I tried a few hot laps on this last night with my good friend Duvel and had very little luck  Another fun one I think, but ai will be very painfull :scared:

It's the same for the CLK I'm driving, not sure about the Astra or A4.

Yes, I've had to do it every race so far. But with Cote D' Azur, where softer tires are of paramount importance when navigating the tight bends and curves, it seems to be exacerbated. Not much you can do I'm 'fraid.

Anyone wanna post some Q's ????

Well i will because this thread seems dead so here is one from me 1'27.748. Also me ad my team mate are finding keeping the same set of tyres front to back, seems to work best for us.

Del agrees with using the same tyres front/back , the car seems to settle in better .. Del has had some problems with the PS2 this week , so hes hoping to be able to get some decent laps completed .

I'm not going to make any comments about posting QF lap times .. except that Ren Tec and Delfino are mighty close .

Don't like this track ; never have and of the four cars i'm racing here this week {also running in the GTPLMS} ... the AUDI TT seems to be the worst performer .

Well i don't know about you guys but i was having real problems at the hairpin before the tunnel. I could not get the car to go round it lol and thought i was gonna have to use the hand brake every lap. That suck imo but after testing a different track for a laugh an idea popped into my head. Well you know i use a DFP, in the most part i never take two hands off the wheel, bingo! 💡 How could i have not thought of it before, now i find it easy and it agained my .5 on a lap too. Being able to put an extra turn on the wheel made the difference and i felt very silly :O

Just to let you guys know, the deadline is this Saturday @ 23:59 EST (GMT -5). :)

It seems that I have mechanical failure this week... :ouch:
I thought that I stay at home this weekend and race the Astra in Monaco, but RL got in the way. :guilty:
Sorry guys.See you in the next round.

I have had a nice clean run in the car, but I'm having PM problems so I very frustraited right now.

I only have 5 times right now. (me, RACECAR, Delfino, Ren-Tec & GT Pro) The deadline is TONIGHT at 23:59 EST (GMT-5)

so 6am for me then lol but iv subbed already ;) and im sorry to hear you won't be submitting an entery this time GTX

Hey everyone, i've been away on holiday for a looooong time, and it seems i've missed a lot. Sorry for the absence in Round 3, and if its ok TS, could i PM you my time tomorrow morning (which should only be about 6 hrs behind the deadline)? Thanks and sorry for missing out!

submiting time now, had some ups and downs and am not too pleased with my final reslult, but did have fun in the process 👍

Times sent in to TS, and reminder sent to waynz.:sly:👍

OBTW waynz, the reminder is URGENT!!!:scared:

Results posted, lots of non-submissions this round, which has slightly closed up the team & driver championships.

Congrats to all who ran this one, twas not easy 👍 congrats to mike with a steller race total  and to Del for piping me out :) and RACECAR for an awsome in race lap. 👍

I really did not think that I did very well on this, as I was very close to 32'29.x several times but kept smacking the wall coming out of the chicane :dopey:....

Anyway

Seems as if i'm just too late here - finished my run about an hour ago - got a quali lap of 1'25.8 and total time of 33'01.6 if anyone is interested - but i spose family holidays come before GT4!:grumpy:
Oh well, on to Fuji we go, where i am going to run as many laps as possible to get myself up the leaderboard!
Also, congrats to Ren-Tec for a super win and time, and to Delfino and arora for the podium and RACECAR for the fastest lap! See you all in Fuji!:)

Next time I'll be here for sure... 👍
To be honest to you,on last thursday I made the race of the LMS-series in my Subaru and I wasn't confident with the car.The Subaru is a very well-handling car, while the Astra isn't.I had some very close encounters with the walls in that car,and I thought that it could be 100 times worst in the Opel. I knew that there is no chance to get a clean run in Monaco and I hadn't got the time and the patience to try it again and again... :grumpy:
I don't like this car at all. :ouch:

Wow, I had to pit-in 6 times during that race, yet fellow CLK-racer, RACECAR, running softer R5's all around, pit half as much at 3 times...

I wonder what I was doing wrong, did you run for a considerable time whilst on red tires?

I started the race on R5's {to try to get fastest QF and fastest lap in the race} .. and only got 3 laps out of them ; could have stretched it to 4 laps ; impossible to get 5 laps out of them imo ... changed to R3's for the rest of the race {2 stops}

Thank you felow racers and well done o Del and my team mate for great times too. Erik my team mate said i should post a vid of my q lap for you all, so here it is enjoy and im sorry its not great quality.

Mike.

It was a struggle, but I did. I was just trying to get as much track time and lessen my pit stops. I have to say it is much better to race on red then the Audi TT-R is.

Delfino just brought to my attention that I made (another) booboo in the points, just like I've been saying before, my math isn't very good, but I make do with it. Sorry. :(

Just so that I understand correctly ( my tyres do not last long as I'm not too smooth)

Del, you ran r5/r5 for 3 laps and then r3/r3 for 9 laps twice? r3/r3 only can last 7 for me and if I run red all around i spin out or hit walls.

RACECAR you ran r5/r5 for 7 laps each stint?

Perhaps I need to evaluate my driving style, hats off for sure, I cannot get near that tyre ware at all.

Its hard to believe, but yeah. I have been doing runs most of the week trying to perfect a run to get my tires to last that long. I just gotten tired of the wear I was getting for this track so I decided to go with that option.
