I figured this would be the best thread to make a Gallery out of, instead of creating another. So, I'll basically be updating this post with any new photos. :)

Boardwalk Ferrari/Maserati
2 very special Italians

Today was a good day. Scratch that. Today was a great day. My cous. & I knew it had been a while since we seen what the local dealers had in stock. Well, now that January is finally over, we knew they'd start getting in the good stuff soon. Scouting around, we noticed good ol' Boardwalk had a supply of Audi R8s as well as 2 GT3 RS'. We made it our destination.

Arriving, we decided to see the R8s. Well, showroom only had one, but it was enough for us. Unforunately, when I got home, I noticed most of our shots had been ruined by the building's overhead windows.
dsc0017pt0.jpg

However, our close-up shots appeared to have turned out really well.
dsc0022zb4.jpg

After our time spent with the R8, we walked over to Porsche, and immediately saw the 2 GT3 RS'. The man you see in the white shirt, we owe a lot of thanks to.
dsc0051fb8.jpg

We didn't take too many photos of the black RS (unforunately) as the man mentioned above was looking at it, and we didn't need to be a bothersome.
dsc0045cq2.jpg

It didn't stop there, though. Turning the corner, we saw quite a surprise. A brand new, "used", Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster. To be honest, I wouldn't have expected to see one for another few months. It was a gorgeous machine, never-the-less.
dsc0028ln3.jpg

You practically have to see it in person to really appreciate this kind of car, imo.
dsc0030bg1.jpg

At this point, we did see another beast. But, I'll reveal him later as I like to save what I feel is the best spot for last. :) Moving on, though.
I spotted this Turbo on the corner of the entrance, and thought it'd be a great setup for some shots.
dsc0087da0.jpg

Some close-ups of the Turbo.
dsc0089mk0.jpg

A silly shot at the end as I was attempting to do something new. :p
Some misc. of other cars. I missed out on a S63 AMG & a 3rd 911 GT3 RS who took off. It was music to my ears.
Below though, Alpina B7, an interesting Cayenne, & the 2nd of 4 Audi R8s.

Before moving onto Ferrari, I'll let you know that the secret beast is hidden in 2 of the photographs above. If you think you see him, PM me, and I'll reply with 1 of the shots of him before I post the full set. :)
I'm also going to post now so the Internet doesn't crash and I lose all this.

Very nice pics and cool cars ! Where country are you from ? I'm from Brasil and here in my city, Brasilia, capital, me and my son are ever look for this cars, here are fews because are very expensives . Embrace .

You might want to look into a polarizer for the camera. Will do wonders with those reflections in the glass and clear coat.

Nice pictures, and I am jealous you get see such nice cars. Spotting anything remotely worth something in Spokane is neigh impossible.

Part 2:
Not sure how I'm going to set this one up as there were a LOT of cars sitting in Boardwalk Ferrari/Maserati's showroom. I suppose I'll go 1 at a time.

It'd been a while, but the first car I walked to on the floor was this 612. I still must be 1 of the few folks who likes this Ferrari, and 1 of the even fewer who thinks it looks better in most colors before red or yellow.
dsc0099ew8.jpg

Moving on, I took a fast liking to this 360 Spider.
dsc0104hy3.jpg

As I said before, there were a lot of cars. If any of you had ever seen my previous shots, you'd probably agree.

dsc0114qj3.jpg

dsc0163tt4.jpg

This remains to be 1 of my favorite Ferraris of all time, the 575M. Although I'd prefer a grey 550 Maranello first, I'll still take this. :p
dsc0109nw4.jpg

Another silver beaut.
dsc0116cg2.jpg

Spotted this fella in the corner, and allowed for some interesting shots.
dsc0125vz1.jpg

dsc0132xj8.jpg

This was 1 of the cooler cars in the building as everyone can enjoy the Testarossa.
dsc0124tk3.jpg

dsc0209hk1.jpg

Amazingly, they allowed 1 Quattroporte inside the building. A stunning blue Sport GT. I also chose the interior shot as the main photo as I think it's probably one of my best interior shots. They usually don't turn out this good.
dsc0120oq2.jpg

Keeping within Maseratis, they also had a Gran Turismo, which was a joy. I hadn't seen one since the last Italian Car Festival (literally; it won't be appearing ever again. :( ).
dsc0202en1.jpg

dsc0139fo5.jpg

And now for the misc. shots.
Basically, a row of Quattroportes, a SL65 AMG by itself, & the giant Ferrari logo.
dsc0214xo7.jpg

Next post will unveil a special F430, & the special beast. :)

I see a striking silver TL and what looks like a maroon Aston.

Yeah, I've been searching for camera "add-ons" for a while now. I'm still pretty happy with my shots. I believe the Nikon has made a major difference in quality.

The maroon Aston, I believe was a 'Vette. :)

Still uploading the last pictures, though.

I zoomed it 400% and it does look like a Vette.

But you don't see that TL in the R8 caged photo?! *gasp* :D

When I was taking photography courses in college, the filter/add-on that got the most use was the polarizer. It kills glare when you setup them up right... like so.

metal_glass.jpg

They are also great for shooting around any water, enhancing clouds, and anywhere else glare can be an issue (snow).

Looks like a TSX to me.

I'm also digging that FJ Cruiser and the fuzzy gas prices.

I see it, yeah. But TL's don't get my blood running unless it's a Type-S :D (Or has the full under body spoiler kit).

I thought you owned a TL? I was being a smartass thinking it was your car. Either way, TL's are the best Honda product being made today. The TSX is probably second since the S2000 is going to die soon.

I do. I own a Type-S model, but mine is bronze. :p But I agree. The TL is one of Honda's greatest products. Only the S2000CR, TSX, & Civic Mugen follow it as well.

I just wish the Aspec TL was AWD (or even the Type-S). The TL NEEDS to be right-wheel-drive. :D

TL Aspec for those who have never seen one. I've seen only one so far.

Yeah, thats pretty nice looking :D

I love the look of the TL as well, but its Wrong Wheel Drive :(

Yep, the A-Spec is gorgeous. But I also agree with Azuremen. :indiff:

Last set of photos should be up within the next 10 minutes if ImageShack works properly.

I don't normally like Orange wheels at all but @$%^ that GT3 RS is awesome!

Phew. Ok, last post, which only contains 2 vehicles. I've saved these 2 though for the last as they both show some people are still generous in this world. Both these cars were opened up to us for pictures I normally never get.

I'll start with the first, this rare F430. We had no intention of ever seeing the interior or such, but when the salesman noticed us taking photos of the engine, he gladly asked us if we wanted to open the hood, to which we obviously agreed. This was a major first as this dealer is normally never this friendly. Perhaps it was all the new staff. But he opened the car up, and the photos began, and I became thankful we chose this F430. The options on this car are very rare, which include the $10K carbon fibre engine cover & the Challenge grill and Daytona seats. We were told the number of F430s sporting these options are few & far, and will be highly desired.

And now for the special beast.

*Drum Roll*

A Murcielago LP640. But I doubt that surprises anyone. :p The man in the white shirt is the owner of this, and we owe him the thanks as he generously opened up the car. It was proof to me not all exotic owners are pricks.
And yes, I know, he parked illegally. The dealer also didn't care as they knew he was a very high value customer. However, for once I'm glad as it allowed for some unique shots.

I've saved these last 2 photos as I truly believe they go way beyond my shot of the reflections of the MC12.

dsc0083vi3.jpg

And that was my day. :D It seems Lamborghini just can't keep away from me when I go to dealerships anymore. :p But it was a fun day, and I'm very happy with all the photographs. And it was great to finally put my Nikon D40 to the test, and I'm easily more than impressed by how much farther everything came out.

But I hope you guys enjoy the photos as much as I do.
Comments on them are always welcome as I do not use any type of setting besides the flash being off.
I also hope you all will return for my Concorso photos in April as well as what Spring Break brings.

Again, enjoy. :)

Oooh I can't wait!

Thanks for the great shots *McLaren*! :O

EDIT : Looks like I was a bit slow. Thanks for the incredible pics of the LP640!!!

Awesome photos!

I'm impressed that the dealers let you wonder around and take photos. If I tried that here I would get the short shrift.

Oh my god! I think the LP640 has just become my favorite car. I've seen many photos of them but that thing is just so beautiful! I'd have to take one in white on black.

I think it's due to the fact the dealers know many folks come in just to look.

Thanks for the comments fellas. :)

And of course, Hi-Res is available if wanted.

The steering wheel looks out of place in the LP640. Is that the actual one it comes with?

IShack says it's 1024x685, though. Hope that isn't a problem.

What gets me is the TL would be PERFECT in every concievable way if it at least had the SHAWD from the RL or RWD. I'm serious, a TL with SHAWD would instantly make it my favorite saloon. There would be no exceptions. Still even if a boulevard criuser all its life it still is bar none one of the top 3 saloons on sale today...even if it has wrong wheel drive.

*edit*
Oh, and the TL proves that Honda can make some awsome products when it wants to. They got it spot on with the TSX, TL, and the S2000. So why did they make the new Accord look like a monkey's ass?

Mind if I get a high res set of these?
