Hi Holden (if that's an acceptable abbreveation, an abreviation that , reading this lenghty addendum, was better left unused ;))

What does that mean? Are you suggesting people should not call me Holden? LOL, if you seen the way I live, the things I do, what I talk about, and my worldly possessions you may be forgiven for thinking I am one with Holden.;) I don't mind being called Holden, N4HS is good too.

Hehehe, that does make suggest people should call you Golden ;)

What i meant in fact, was that i would have been better off just writing your name full out, rather then add a lenghty addition that completely negated my intended lazy abbreveation,

Very well, 'Holden' it is then N4HS :sly:

Hi,

Thanks for helping out gt fans out there just like me with your tune, just got a question. I tried out your rx7 settings just now and I cant seem to drive it. its so easy to spin out, I'm using a g25 wheel, will that any change any of your tune settings? and just got a stupid question but does european version or NA version make any difference with the settings?

Thanks
PSN ID: Xander07

The RX7 needs to be retuned as S2 tires are now mandatory. I tuned it with R3 tires which have lots of grip. I'm not surprised it spins out with crappier tires. ;) Check back here regularly for an updated version. This is also true for all the other 600PP cars, except the Viper.

Good work my man. I have to say the setup's are good. i like you right my own setup's as i like to know i am the one who did it as it feels cool when it all works. I put mine on my own site. whitch is why you don't see them on here. But good work keep it up

Big up to all tuners:tup:

Hi Lars,

Just a quick question wrt the gearing for the viper600pp/fuji.

It seems to me that 6th gear can be smaller, i'm not the expert and i'm very happy driving your setup, it just seems to me the 6th is not usable, is this on purpose? ( i hardly get beyond 270KM/H).

I'd have thought we could use more 'final gear' to get the 6th down to 315.

Admittedly, some tests i ran do not seem to show a big difference in speed, so just from a 'tuning philosophy' perspective.

I tried several gear settings and I liked this one best because of the amount of grip in 1st and 2nd. You could of course shorten final, but this will also shorten 1st and 2nd, which means less grip. It's always a trade-off between one thing and the other. ;) A shorter 2nd and 1st can ofcourse be countered by using the throttle wisely. :) I chose not to do it, I didn't notice a lot of difference with the weird 6th gear either. :)

Well, I had a discussion with Dragonistic on this a bit earlier on. ;) He likes the gears shorter and uses more throttle control.

Edit

Ok, Having just put a few laps down @ fuji 600pp, I have to say that the car handles great, and goes very well also. Starting in 2nd gear i got a great launch.
I found you can be quite brutal with the throttle and get away with it. I managed a 1'55.4 something on my second lap in free run. I found the gear ratios perfect and the brakes also. Only thing i dont like is the auto box. But hey you cant change that. If you see me online in a black tuned coupe then im running your tune. Good work. 👍

Thanks for the nice feedback. 👍

I like the sound of that, I will check it out in a bit and get back to you. 👍

I've tested it mainly on Suzuka, Fuji also runs very well, though it might need a little gear-tweaking over there. :)

What sort of time are you getting at Suzuka? Give me someting to aim for. :)

Edit

Just tried it out on free run @ suzuka, Very nice car to drive, Must have a very steady trottle trigger to stop that tail from wagging. I found it great fun, and all them gears. :) I ran 3 laps and ended up with a 2'22.XXX, I dont know how good that is? or maybe not? After the amount of stella i have consumed today i would imagine its pretty weak. I will try it out tomorrow online. Keep the great tunes rolling out the door. 👍

A 2:22 is not bad at all, especially when DUI. ;)

I saw you in your R8 :), 2:22 is not a bad time but im hitting 2:19's in my evo ix:scared:. I will try your settings out later ( I already have some settings for my R8, I will see how they compare. )

Hey, I havnt tried your R8 settings yet, but I just wanted to let you know, I was using your GTR '07 around today at suzuka, I was pulling off 2:20's in free run and just thought I would let you know what a great tune it is :)

Thanks, nice to know it's working out there too, as I designed it for Fuji. ;) I think it can be even faster on Suzuka with a few gear tweaks. :)

I just tried the R8 tune too. I knocked out a 2:22 on my very first lap, with MUCH room for improvement. Top tune- very easy to drive near the limit. Keep up the good work mate :)
Also gave the IS-F a go (because a) I hadn't driven it before and b) I hadn't seen a tune for it yet). Very interesting car to drive (transmission is just plain WEIRD in that car! haha! nah, it's a nice ride). The tune itself was good- allowed for tail out action if desired, but easy to drive fast too.

Thanks for the nice words! 👍 The number one reason I made the IS-F tune was because there was no tune yet; the eight gears are weird at first, but you get used to them pretty quickly. The car also has very nice handling. :)
