Now, this is a bit over a week old, but I didn't see it anywhere else, so what have you:

Wow. Reminds me of that similarly-silly PD-designed NSX LM in GT4 more than anything. Granted, most of that stuff is probably for show (depending on what they did to the engine), but can you imagine what it would be like if they built it?
Motor TrendMugen, the well known race winning Honda tuner, revealed a show stopping model called the Honda NSX Mugen RR Concept at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon in Japan. The not-for-sale car was created to commemorate the hand-built exotic's final series production run that was ended four years ago. Although long in the tooth, the car's design still manages to evoke a cutting edge styling that was well ahead of its time.
Based on a standard NSX, Mugen played off the stunning mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive design by adding substantial carbon fiber exterior modifications to its concept. Just by looking at it, the Grand Prix White (a traditional Honda racing color) car would probably be the closest 'streetable' thing to a widebody JGTC racer if it were ever produced in limited numbers.
Perched upon its own dedicated rotating display, the Mugen RR features a widened front clip with louvers and canards for increased high speed stability and brake cooling. Its side skirts continue the widened, yet functional look to the rear quarter panels housing massive 335/30 ZR18 tires (that's Lamborghini sized rubber, for those wondering). Culminating Mugen's aerodynamic treatments are a multi-grooved rear diffuser with space enough for a bespoke dual racing exhaust, adjustable rear wing and sleeker rearview mirrors. Set atop the likely Lexan constructed engine hatch is a carbon fiber air scoop designed to aid in cooling the highly tuned 3.2L C32B V-6 motor.
