Aero adjustment downforce 15

Engine
ecu tuning
engine tuning stage 1
power limiter 77.5% (mine had been broken in a little bit, you might have to tune it higher)

Intake
sports intake manifold
racing air filter

Exhaust
Sports exhaust manifold
cataytic converter sports
standard exhaust

turbo kit
mid rpm range

transmission
standard trans

drivetrain
just sup it up and my lsd was stock settings

suspension
ride height F -20 R 10
Spring rate F 3.5 R 5.3
dampers Ext F 4 R 4
dampers comp F 4 R 4
anti roll F 1 R 1

Camber angle F 0.0 R 0.0
toe angle F 0.00 R 0.20

With this setting i ran a low 1.04 the first lap and the rest were 1.03's and i past the first place elise on the back stretch

A high rpm turbo and as much ballast as allowable so that you have minimum weight. Buy all weight reduction parts, add ballast till you hit 860kg, move said ballast to get as close to 50/50 as possible. I think it was 47/53 or something like that. best lap was 1:02.800

This race was reasonably easy for me and I'm a pretty lousy driver. I bought all the non-HP upgrades (drivetrain, transmission, suspension stuff), adjusted the weight as ugabugaz suggested, and installed the three aero kits from GT Auto. I set downforce to max and transmission around 112 mph, I think.

As long as you ease onto the gas and break in a reasonably straight line, the Elise sticks to the road pretty well and is difficult to spin out. Try to draft as much as possible, especially down the back straight, and you should be able to overtake the leader late in the last lap. Shoot for mid to high 1.03's, as others have said. Far easier than the Fiat race, in my opinion at least.

Given the fact that I had to buy the Elise I tried to run it as close to stock as possible thus saving a few pennies! So here goes:
Front splitter, dive-planes and rear spoiler (maximum downforce).
Oil change.
Dual clutch and racing flywheel.
6-speed close range gearbox.

Pretty sure that was it. Comparatively easy this one.

if your broke then go do all the seasonal event that are open, you get money for everyone you do, and for the new drift and time trial you get like 4 mill for both of them combined

Tips for this event?

Best i could get was 4th place. ARGH!

use this one, i did it, and beat the challenge at my 2nd attempt

But i didn´t used TC.

Here's my setup for the Lotus starting at the top:

Aero: Rear 20
Power Limiter set to 98.5% to get to 195 HP
Fully Custom Tranny: Final Gear 4.529; Top Speed 137
Twin Plate Clutch, Semi Racing Flywheel
STANDARD differential, did not buy the Adjustable LSD, you don't need it.

Suspension:
Ride height: F -10 R -6
Springs: F 6.8 R 8.3
Extension: F 5 R 5
Compression: F 4 R 4
Roll Bars: F 3 R 3
Camber: F 1.5 R 0.7
Toe: F 0.0 R 0.20

Aids:
TC 1
ABS 1
Steering Sensitivity 5 (I use DS3)

If you race flawlessly and keep the car relatively straight and spend little time spinning the rear tires you should pass the lead car going into the final corner. I was a little sloppy since it was my first try and didn't pass until about midway through the corner along the outside because I braked so late.

Use late braking to get inside the other cars, then get the car straight with 40% - 60% throttle if you can manage it, it's really hard on the DS3. That's really all I did.

This damn Fiat race is giving me gray hair. I just bought a new one and put zero aero stuff on it so hopefully that helps.

I had a go just befor i went to bed using a ds3 and could get down to the 1.03's but 1 slip of that finger and it drifts and cost you to much time.. Then when i woke up i got the DFGT and homemade stand out and golded it.. 3 key points to the race.
1, drive super smooth..
2, get as close to 50/50 weight balance..
3, take time to tune your LSD..

Just curious, what's your guys' fastest lap for this Elise challenge.

I hit a 1.02.951 on my final lap for this challenge, was just curious if this was a pretty fast lap, or if I'm way off.

I would say 1:02's is a fast lap.. I did a few 1:02 laps, but not when i golded it.. I did 4 laps at 1.03, past the 1st place car on the 2nd from last turn.. Out breaked him down the inside, then drifted the last turn for the fun of it!lol

I put the ballast as far forward as possible, and full rear wing. This stopped the back end sliding out.

I used the same set-up but I had different power numbers. I only could get a 72% on the power limiter (as the car was more souped up because it was used before in the.... surprise, other Lotus event.) I had the ballast balance at -20 with a 44/56 F/R distribution. I also had full aero and 20 on the rear wing. The car was extremely well planted and my slowest lap was a 1:04.585 the rest were well into the 1:03s and one near 1:02. The biggest advantage I could find that may be overlooked is into the corner following the 2nd hairpin (the tire turn). I found that keeping the car in the low to mid 60 MPH range by feathering the throttle actually allowed me to pick up a substantial amount of time.
Here is the lap time distribution:
Lap 1: will post sector time here due to staggered start killing distance behind
T1: 15.998
T2: 19.205
T3: 29.382
Full Lap time: 1:04.585 (+13.860)
Lap 2:
T1: 14.827 (pickup of 1.271 on leader)
T2: 19.162 (pickup of 1.151 on leader)
T3: 29.223 (pickup of 1.638 on leader)
Full lap time: 1:03.222 (+09.800)
Lap 3:
T1: 14.805 (pickup of 0.700 on leader)
T2: 18.858 (pickup of 1.403 on leader)
T3: 29.422 (pickup of 1.477 on leader)
Full Lap Time: 1:03.085 (+06.321)
Lap 4:
T1: 15.178 (pickup of 0.592 on leader)
T2: 18.894 (pickup of 1.762 on leader)
T3: 29.637 (pickup of 1.445 on leader)
Full Lap Time: 1:03.709 (+02.622)
Lap 5:
T1: 15.164 (pickup of 0.809 on leader)
T2: 19.106 (pickup of 1.456 on leader) Leader was passed going into hairpin before the backstretch.
T3: 29.334 (pickup of roughly 2 seconds)
Full Lap Time: 1:03.604 (~+02.300)

As you can see, there was constant pickup and just like the old seasonal events, you have to keep moving up.

This crappy car is always sliding, even when i brake without turning at the same friggin' time!

ARGH! When i get gold in this event, will make a "Ticket-Party" and give everybody a "round" of tickets, free! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ok wheres our tickets? :scared: LOL

But i didn´t used TC.

I used the setup by BlackoutBilly aswell, but with one or two minor adjustments in the ride height and the camber. Got Gold on second attempt with this setup (after 20 odd tries before) on a DS3.

With this setup you can almost put your foot to the floor in 2nd coming out of the corners with little spin.

Now onto the fiat 500. Got second on first attempt, 8 seconds behind... hmm.

Thanks to BLACKOUTBILLY!
Made gold on first try with his setup without any training...
The stock setup makes more fun to drive (because of sliding) but is just slower...

I was struggling big time with the Elise event, untill i realised i was running comfort tyres. Switched to the sports tyres and won second try

Put the, Ballast 226kg
Ballast position -6, more to the front of the car;)
It worked for me

Competitive, but there's still 0.5 of a sec to be had around this track, in this car.

Both of my Elises are RM'd. I can't use these right? Have to buy a new and not RM?

Correct.

Didn't find this challenge as taxing as the Scooberoo, but then I have put in a few 1000 laps at Tsukuba. I was also in the pleasant company of Juliet. She'll be as good to you as she was to me, sweet, sweet Juliet...
