I finished in 3rd...

While I agree that G8r should have been able to avoid contact on the hairpin lap 3, I don't feel it's fair to assign full blame on him. Had it not been for Superkid missing the braking point none of it would have happened. If I don't have to adjust and take a weird line, G8r never hits me. I feel we need to be more aware of what's going on and use more caution, but I don't feel that making contact in a hairy situation is deserving of penalty unless the player receiving the penalty is the only driver who's actions resulted in the incident. G8rs bump was the third action in a chain of events in one particular incident. Avoidable, yes, and he should be more aware, but assigning a penalty to him is not something I agree with.

I also think points plus time is a bit harsh. In g8r's case, he loses a position as well as additional points. Similar situations are usually dealt with via drivethrough penalties, which can't be done in our situation, but would essentially equate a 25 second penalty. 25 seconds should be adequate for any situation that isn't blatant misconduct.

I agree as I have been watching the replay (to take some pictures hope to be here soon) but yes I think points and time is a bit harsh and agree with the 25s for each incident.

It looked like Bones got his damaged rear right on the second lap first turn by g8r after the late braking by superkid but g8r didn't hit anyone on the 3rd lap he hoped the turn and hit the barrier. Again just from what I saw.

P.S we soo need fast forward and rewind for replays so annoying to wait through the race to see what you want then miss it, lol.

Here are some quick pictures I took from race 2. Warning I am not the best photographer. ;)

That 2:07 was out of nowhere. I was in the 8s the whole race and wasn't trying to set fast laps. I just wanted to stay on the track and not lose the lead. The last few laps though, I just felt really good and went for it. I think it was 1.3 seconds quicker than my next quickest.

Be interesting to see the difference in stup that bones has vs. The rest of us, he has a standout difference in fastest lap. Guess we will have to wait until the end oc the ssason.

^Not too sure I'll host a second season :dunce:.

If I do, it's going to go through September, when I have school.

Not sure if I can make it tomorrow as I have to go to school to work on a group design project for my engineering class at noon so I'll try hard to get back by the race.

Kingvi1la, you participation will be missed if you cannot make. I certainly hope you can 👍 As long as I leave the party early enough tonight I should make it tomorrow morning for the race, though Imight be feeling a bit shabby :D

i'm still out of town visiting family

i will probably miss practice/qualifying

i'll do my best to make it for the race

:)

Well, that was a bit messy. Please make it so that if someone d/c after half race distance, we just continue so we don't get a repeat of today's race.

Are we going to have a repeat of that race next weekend or are we just going to go through and add a different track for an extra race?

Yeah, about that.

If anyone knows that they're going to be absent for part of the race, please let me know! Do not make me think that you got disconnected.

I will incorporated what you stated into the regulations.

There will be a repeat of today's race next week.

Jesus guys I'm sorry. That was not my intention for you to stop the race. I'm sorry.

I was doing my last few laps on the phone with my girlfriend. When I crashed out of it I had meant to just quit and type up a comment but I shut everything down out of habit. I should have pulled off in the sand somewhere but being on the phone I wasn't thinking about that.

On a related note, said phone call also takes me out of next week. And maybe the week after that. (We found out today that the we got approved for the house we wanted and we'll be moving next weekend. And no we didn't buy it, just renting. Landlord called my girlfriend this afternoon and said everything is good to go.)

Again, my apologies. I was closing in about 2 seconds a lap until she called so it probably would have been a really good race at the end. The 3 laps I was driving on the phone weren't too good, though. Lol. Again, I'm sorry. Hopefully I can make it for the first race in August. But if you are going to rerun this race it's only fair that I'm not in it.

I feel like a d*ck guys, I really am sorry. Karma will come back around though, I'll probably hurt my back carrying too many boxes.

It's okay, man, seriously! :) Just don't do it again!

Oh, and I hope to see you, and everybody else next week!

PS: Congrats on your new home!

Initial discussions of house decor have me wondering if I'll be joining the DS3 users. I guess the drivers seat from a 94 Eagle Talon doesn't look good in the middle of the living room. I only get to set it up now because our current apartment is so small nothing has it's own space and I have her convinced that since it's so cluttered it doesn't make sense for me to throw out my stuff. When we had closet space at our first place together, the seat was closet bound and I never used it cuz of the hassle. I'm afraid it's doomed again.

I did tell her that if she wants it gone completely she has to do it herself and pay me $300, the cost of the seat and a useless G25.

Sorry guys, but I have to go out of town to visit family that flew in from California and won't be able to make it to the race this week. :(
